In the second day...
The sun was high in the sky, casting a warm glow over the island of Jeju as Seojun and his family set off on their hike. The air was fresh, and the scent of the sea lingered with every breeze, making the journey pleasant for most, but not for Nathan and Elshienne.
Nathan stumbled slightly as he took a step, his face flushed from exhaustion. "I can't believe this... why does it feel like this trail is never-ending?" he groaned, wiping the sweat from his brow. His backpack seemed twice as heavy as it really was, and his legs were sore after only a short distance.
Elshienne, walking beside him, was in no better shape. "I thought this was going to be a leisurely hike, not... this!" she said, puffing out her cheeks and dragging her feet. Her usual energy was nowhere to be found.
The others, however, were enjoying the hike, seemingly unaffected by the steep incline. Seojun, his mother, and even little Ahye were moving forward with ease.
