Ch 16: Explaining to Charlotte

"However, this world does have a Holy Grail, although... the Holy Grail in this world is not like the Holy Grail in your world," Ryan said, trying to explain.

"Secondly, this world has no Alaya, but there is still Gaia in this world, although... Gaia in this world is not like the Gaia you know."

"Thirdly... This world is undergoing a process of destruction, and I need your help. Help me, Charlotte, help me kill the heroes..."

Hearing Ryan's words made Charlotte fall silent, but after a moment, she smiled widely.

"Master! I will help you! Let's take down those heroes!" Charlotte said it with a broad smile on her beautiful face.

"Alright, Charlotte, for now, hide yourself and follow me," Ryan said as he opened the door to the room.

Then Charlotte followed Ryan from behind as he went downstairs, where he found the innkeeper waiting for him.

"Sir! I haven't told anyone about your presence!" The man said it with a wide smile.

"Good, here are 10 Gold Coins. Don't say anything about what I'm doing here," Ryan tossed a bag at the man and spoke to him in a cold, threatening tone.

"Of course, sir!"

Ryan then walked away, and after distancing himself from the inn, he spoke.

"Now you can come out, Charlotte."

"Well, what are we going to do now, Master? Which hero should we kill?" Charlotte asked excitedly.

"... For now, we will remain silent, as no problems have arisen. As long as we stay quiet, I need to increase my power," Ryan said, looking at his hands with a serious expression.

"Then, do you want me to teach you to become stronger, Master?" Charlotte smiled and leaned her face closer to Ryan's.

If it were another man, he might have blushed, been surprised, and felt confused, but Ryan did not experience that. Instead of blushing, Ryan stared blankly at Charlotte's face, which made Charlotte feel shy.

"Mas-master... Could you not look at me like that..." Charlotte smiled shyly.

"Not for now, let's discuss it tomorrow... There are things I need to do right now..." Ryan then walked away, leaving Charlotte.

Finally alone, Charlotte quickly covered her face, then smiled bashfully before she hurried off to follow Ryan.

"Master! Wait!"

...

"Thank you so much, Miss Iva!" Lyana said as she drank a glass of orange juice.

"No problem, Miss, it's just regular juice. I should be the one thanking you," said the brown-haired woman named Iva.

"It's no problem, I'm just doing this following orders from Bro- Boss! I mean, following the boss's orders!" Lyana said it with an awkward smile.

"Are you all having fun?" Ryan suddenly walked in.

"Brother? You're back?" Lyana turned around upon hearing Ryan's voice.

"Yes, it's time for us to leave here." Ryan then invited Lyana and Ellina to go back home.

"Don't you want to drink first, sir?" Iva asked, holding a glass of orange juice.

"No, it's alright, we're quite busy right now," Ryan replied, declining Iva's offer.

"Is that so? Then I would like to express my deepest thanks, sir!" Iva said it with a wide smile and a bow.

"No problem, ah... Here, take this money." Ryan said, pulling out a bag of money.

"What? No, sir! This is too much. You've already provided us with food; it feels rude for me to accept anything more, especially money," Iva said, refusing to accept the money.

"Just take it. You've been taking care of the children here for a long time, and you even have to work almost every night to earn money."
