In the Darkness, She Soars

When the night started getting colder,

Shadows clung to it like whispers of forgotten dreams,

Then suddenly..

Memories surged like a river breaking its dam,

Flooding her mind with visions of what once was,

Blessings and curses danced together inseparable in their tangled embrace,

Yet..

She stood where voices bloomed and laughter soared,

Yet silence filled the chambers of her core,

Her mind never too tired of thinking yet

her soul dissolved in the tide of her mind,

Each thought a wave dragging her deeper below,

She wasn't sad but she wasn't happy either,

There was something inside her mind, her inner voice,

Which was constantly dragging her down from whatever made her heart bloom a little,

Her gaze as heavy as a storm-laden sky,

Her heart bore the weight of a thousand unspoken sorrows,

As though her spirit drifted in a realm unseen and unknown,

Where'd she go with the biggest storm in her head?

How long will she be capable to keep a burning rage inside?

That's a mystery,

But when she does let it out,

The world around her might feel like a fleeting mirage, fading into nothingness,

Then..

Her visions started getting blurry,

She no more could see the world she created herself,

It was dark but manifesting,

Her heart, a frozen stone, knew not the stirrings of joy or pain,

She cared not for the world's whispers, for in this solitude, she thrived,

Far away from all her grief, she could finally rise up in the darkness of her life,

At last, she soared, untethered and whole, embracing the freedom of her own soul.
