Liam's POV
I got up late today, groggy and disoriented as I pulled myself out of bed. The remnants of a strange dream lingered in my mind, making me both curious and amused. In this bizarre dream, Aaron, my classmate and longtime crush, was my boyfriend. We were at an ice cream parlor, enjoying the delightful flavors and the carefree atmosphere. One thing led to another, and I felt a flutter of excitement, but just as swiftly as the dream ignited my imagination, it faded away, leaving me with a vague sense of longing as I prepared for the day ahead.
I hurried through my morning routine, feeling a newfound urgency. I pulled on a sleek black tank top that highlighted my figure, paired it with comfortable grey sweatpants, and slipped into my Nike Air Jordans. I grabbed my black bag, the familiar weight of it resting comfortably on my shoulder as I dashed out the door, eager to shake off the remnants of sleep and face whatever the day had in store for me.
Upon arriving at campus, I was greeted by a vibrant scene filled with bustling students, each absorbed in their own conversations and activities. My heart quickened as I scanned the crowd for Aaron, hoping to catch a glimpse of him, but to my dismay, I didn't see him anywhere. I walked through the grand university doors, my sneakers making a satisfying sound against the polished floor. But as I navigated the busy hallway, I suddenly collided with someone, my focus momentarily disrupted.
"Sorry!" I exclaimed, regaining my balance as I stepped back to assess the situation. This hallway always seemed to have a magnetic pull for collisions, and I often found myself in similar predicaments.
"Hi. I am Larissa," said the girl I bumped into, her voice low and sweet, almost melodic. She had an air of warmth about her that instantly made me feel at ease.
"Hey, I'm Liam. I major in business. What about you?" I asked, intrigued by this new encounter.
"Well, Liam," she replied with a brightening smile, her demeanor becoming more open as her voice lifted, "I major in tourism and actually arrived a week late." There was a hint of excitement in her tone, as if she was eager to share more about herself.
Our brief conversation sparked a sense of curiosity in me. Perhaps meeting Larissa was a fortuitous twist to my day—a new connection in this bustling campus that could lead to unexpected adventures.
