A ZOMBIE APPROACHING HIM

Despite the difficult conditions, there were still some delivery services in the East Block. For example, some food stores were still accepting delivery orders, and there was even a milk delivery service in the block. It was safe to say that some basic necessities could be ordered online and delivered to the customer's front door, and that was why Luca could confidently say that he didn't need to leave his apartment building if he didn't have to.

Unfortunately, the only important thing that forced him to leave the building was the fact that he had to put his trash into the dumpster in front of the building so that the dump truck could pick it up later.

That was probably why he hated Fridays. After all, Friday was the dump truck's schedule to pick up the trash of the residents of Building 46 where he lived, and that meant he had to leave his nest every Friday.

It was 11 am when he lazily walked out of the building while carrying two trash bags in his left and right hands. It was probably also his fault for always ordering food from outside instead of trying to cook for himself, and that was why he ended up with a lot of plastic waste at home. That was why the two trash bags were filled with trash, and he lazily threw them into the big dumpster in front of the apartment building.

He had thrown his trash into the dumpster, and he was about to close the lid when he suddenly saw a shadow approaching him from behind. He could also see his shadow in the dumpster, but the shadow that was approaching him seemed to be bigger than his own shadow. To make him feel even more afraid in his heart, the shadow seemed to be moving its hands towards him as if it wanted to strangle his neck from behind, and that was why he felt a little fear in his heart when he thought of the worst possibility.

He thought of the worst possibility, but it was a pity that he didn't have any weapons in his hands, and that was why he worked his brain so quickly to find an alternative weapon to protect himself. His brain quickly gave orders to his hands, and his hands immediately pulled his trash bags out of the dumpster before he quickly turned his body. He used all his strength to throw the trash bags in his right and left hands at the creature approaching him, and he planned to immediately escape from the place.

Only to have his body freeze when the creature suddenly screamed after being attacked by the trash, and Luca took the time to look at the creature even though he still felt a little scared of it. He thought of the worst, thinking it was a zombie that wanted to devour him alive, but his mouth finally dropped open in shock when he saw that it was a human standing in front of him.

To be exact, it was the delivery man from last Monday who had suddenly become a garbage dump where one could dump their trash.

"If you don't want a free lunch today, then you can tell me nicely, sir," gritting his teeth to hold back his anger, the delivery man voiced his protest.

Luca didn't answer. Even though he knew that he was wrong, his pride was too high to apologize, and that was why he just stared at the taller man quietly. The taller man glared at him, but then he started using his hands to brush away some of the trash on his head before throwing it to the ground.

Even his shoulders weren't free of trash, and he did the same to the trash as he threw it to the ground. Unfortunately, he couldn't get rid of the wet marks on his shirt, which indicated that there was something wet inside the trash bag that was thrown at him.

The trash had been wiped off the man's head and clothes, but the smell still lingered, and that was why the man looked like a bull that was about to charge at anything in front of him.

"I will wait," the delivery man said suddenly.

"Wait for what?" Luca finally responded to the man.

"Of course, I'm waiting for your apology."

"..." Luca didn't apologize right away even though he was asked to do that.

Instead of apologizing, he said coldly, "I'll compensate for the mess I made. How much did your clothes cost? You also need to buy soap and shampoo, right? I'll cover the costs too."

"So, you're the type of person who wants to solve everything with money, huh?" The delivery man replied sarcastically. "Don't you know that I'm wearing a new uniform that I just got from the Food Supply Department? I only got this one set of uniforms, and it's very precious to me! How are you going to repay me, huh?"

Luca silently observed the man's appearance from head to toe. The uniform from the Food Supply Department was a sky blue shirt and cargo pants with no patterns on them. The shirt had two pockets on the front, and above the left pocket was an embroidery of "FINN KELSEN."

Luca immediately concluded that it was the man's full name, but he still had no idea what to do to get out of this situation. Before he could answer the man's question, he saw someone approaching them, and it was the chubby woman he sometimes saw on Fridays when he came out of the building to throw out his trash.

The woman immediately stood in the middle of the two men. Her hands were on her hips as her wide eyes scanned the dirty ground around her, and then she glared angrily at the two men. "What kind of child's play is this?" She snapped at the two men. "Clean up the mess here, or I'll throw you both in the dumpster!"
