It was unknown what kind of magic Finn had used, but Luca eventually went down with him to the ground floor of the apartment building before retrieving the lunch boxes left on the former's motorbike.
A large metal box was attached to the back seat of the motorbike, and Finn used a key to open the box. Inside the box were dozens of disposable lunch boxes, and he immediately took a few of them before placing them in Luca's hands. Five lunch boxes were in Luca's hands, and he frowned at the blonde.
"Do I need to carry this many lunch boxes? I'm just a helper here, but it seems like you're bullying me!" Luca voiced his protest.
Finn didn't immediately answer the protest, and he simply continued his task with the other lunch boxes inside the metal box. He took a few lunch boxes from the metal box, and in no time, ten lunch boxes had moved into his hands. Luca even blinked in disbelief when he saw how the man managed to carry so many boxes in his hands.
"If I intended to bully you, then I would have asked you to carry more lunch boxes than me," Finn finally replied, glancing at the shorter man standing slightly behind him. He then used his elbow to close the door of the metal box and spoke again to the shorter man, "Let's start from the first floor. You just need to follow me."
In truth, Luca felt embarrassed when he saw how Finn was able to carry twice as many lunch boxes as him. However, he managed to hide his embarrassment quite well as he chose to ask, "No need to lock the metal box anymore? There are still lunch boxes left inside, right?"
Finn finally turned his body, and he faced the shorter man as he replied, "It's okay. There are surveillance cameras around here, so anyone who tries to steal the lunch boxes will be recorded by them. I'll come back here later to get the remaining lunch boxes, so it's okay."
Luca reflexively looked around after hearing the other man mention the surveillance cameras. "So, my action of throwing the trash bags at this annoying person was caught on the cameras? I surely will look like a stupid coward in the recording," he wanted to bury himself in a rabbit hole as he felt even more embarrassed.
Unfortunately, he couldn't hide himself even though he was embarrassed, and he could only follow Finn, who started walking towards the building once again.
"Do you know how many residents there are in this building?" Finn suddenly started a conversation before they reached the building's entrance.
Luca walked a little behind the blonde, but his ears were able to hear the question, and he answered, "I don't know."
Finn's eyebrows raised slightly upon hearing his answer. "Why don't you know the number of your neighbors here? You must have lived here for years, right?" He asked curiously.
"I've lived here for years, but I don't care about the other residents, so it's not my fault that I don't know how many there are," Luca replied nonchalantly, and Finn shook his head helplessly at his answer.
"There are forty apartment units in this building, and 121 residents live here, including you. One day, when you start to care about your neighbors, you should visit them and say hello. They're all nice and friendly people, and I'm sure they'll be happy to meet you," Finn explained, and Luca didn't respond to the explanation.
He actually didn't really know anything about his neighbors. At least, he knew a few of them who had come to his place to ask him to fix their broken electronics, but he didn't want to remember their names and faces after their business was done.
That was the fact, but he didn't feel the need to tell Finn about it, and that was why he kept quiet as he continued to follow the blond man.
They entered the building, and Finn stopped walking in front of unit number 1. He glanced at the black-haired man standing behind him before saying, "Can you help me ring the doorbell? The lunch boxes in my hands are too heavy, so I can't use just one hand to hold them. I need your help because you are carrying fewer boxes than me, Wolfie."
Even though what Finn said was based on fact, Luca still snorted in annoyance, feeling how the taller man suddenly sounded like he was whining. He didn't answer the man, and he only gestured for the man to move aside so he could press the doorbell beside the door.
Finn grinned at him before moving aside, and Luca was finally able to reach the doorbell. He used his left hand to press it, while his right hand was holding the five lunch boxes. A few moments later, the door in front of him opened from the inside, revealing a chubby woman who was none other than the manager of Building 46. She looked surprised when she saw Luca.
"Oh? Is that you, Weisman? I didn't know you started working in the Food Supply Department, but I think it's good that you're finally coming out of your shell. After all these years, you finally have enough courage to go out of this building other than when you take out the trash, and that's a good sign," the woman spoke at length, not giving Luca a chance to explain.
She immediately took one of the lunch boxes in Luca's hand, mumbled a thank you, and then went back to her unit. The door was closed again.
Luca couldn't even say anything, but then he was surprised by a few questions coming from behind him, "So, you've been hiding in your shell for years? You refuse to come out of this building unless you need to take out your trash? But why? Why do you lock yourself in this building and refuse to come out?"
