"Are they starting to fight back?" asked the dark figure.
"Yes, Lord Dracul, Lord Riechie was ambushed by vampire hunters," said a hunchbacked servant with an extremely ugly face.
"Ah, let it be. I already told him that the area belongs to the Holy Cross Legion Knight, yet he still insisted on conquering it," said Lord Dracul.
"My Lord, what should we do next?" asked the servant.
"As long as Queen Maria Sexinus Morevna The First is preoccupied with military matters, nothing can interfere with the Dark Blood Clan's plan to conquer the kingdom of Timania," said the dark figure named Lord Dracul, and the servant immediately left.
"Ah Lisa, you came?" said Shadow, seeing Lisa and her group arrive.
"I heard that the vampires here have already..." said Lisa, but Shadow quickly signaled for her to be quiet.
"Let's go to the Adventure Guild, the details will be explained there," said Shadow. He and Lisa, along with her group, immediately headed to the Adventure Guild.
Entering the Adventure Guild, they saw Vergil at a table writing a letter. Shadow, Lisa, and her group quickly approached Vergil.
"It seems Queen Sexinus is pleased with the progress of the hunt. After this hunt, she will meet you," said Vergil.
"Uncle, any news from Alexa, Anastasia, and Mira?" asked Shadow.
"Your three younger sisters are safe under the queen's protection," said Vergil.
"You have sisters? That's news to me," said Lisa.
"Enough, enough... Queen Sexinus has sent messages to the Circle of Wizards and St. Peter Monastery. Now it's up to you to choose which one," said Vergil, handing over two letters. Shadow took both letters.
"What do you know about the Circle of Wizards and St. Peter Monastery?" asked Shadow.
"The Circle of Wizards is the best wizard guild in the Timani Empire. Their magic techniques are excellent, but they are confused about how to deal with the vampires there because the vampires have anti-elemental abilities. Meanwhile, St. Peter Monastery trains nuns with healing magic, and the vampires there threaten to suck the blood of any nun who tries to venture out," said Vergil.
"Anti-elemental, but on the other hand, afraid of anything holy..." said Shadow, sighing.
"And the Queen mentioned that some Anti-Elemental Stones belonging to the Arc Sage have gone missing," said Vergil.
"The rumors of some Sages being robbed turned out to be true," said Lisa, thinking.
"Master Sage Lumia also asked me to secure the anti-elemental stones stolen by the vampires," said Vergil.
"Special forces are indeed different..." said Shadow.
"You have no idea what kind of training I've been through," said Vergil, sighing.
"Lisa, would you like to come with me to St. Peter Monastery? I think it would be easier for women to talk among themselves," said Shadow.
"Sure, but is a horse reliable enough to get to the monastery?" asked Lisa.
"There is a Warg you can use, and it might suit you," said Shadow.
"A Warg? So, you tamed them?" asked Lisa.
"That's right, and it turns out they were my old pets," said Shadow.
"Sometimes fate likes to joke, but sometimes its jokes aren't funny," said Vergil.
"Indeed, uncle, sometimes the jokes aren't funny," added Shadow.
"Alright, I'll accompany you there, but on one condition..." said Lisa.
"What condition? If it's something strange, I won't agree," said Shadow.
"My condition is that when all this is over, I will join you," said Lisa.
"Okay, but you need to ask them," said Shadow, pointing to Marrie, Luciana, and Mistral, who had just entered the Adventure Guild.
"Ah, you guys have arrived..." said Lisa, immediately speaking to Marrie, Mistral, and Luciana.
"It seems your journey is becoming more enjoyable. I'll go meet your sister and bring her to Queen Sexinus," said Vergil, standing up from his seat.
"Please, uncle, you're the only one I can trust," said Shadow. Vergil promptly left and rode away on his horse.
Shadow went into the Adventure Guild and saw Lisa chatting with Marrie, Mistral, and Luciana.
"So, we're heading to St. Peter Monastery. Our next target is the vampire causing trouble there," said Shadow.
"Monastery, huh? The place where adventure monks train," said Marrie.
"It seems the vampires there hate women," said Luciana.
"Regardless of their motives, those vampires have been terrorizing the nuns, and the nuns can't fight back," said Shadow.
"What will we gain by freeing the nuns?" asked Luciana.
"The monks and nuns there are trained in healing magic, and healing magic means..." said Shadow.
"Holy element magic," said Mistral.
"Exactly, and that's what vampires fear," said Lisa.
"I also heard that the monks there train in techniques to fight the undead," Lisa continued.
"Considering vampires are undead creatures, that's why they threaten and subjugate them," said Shadow.
"That's true... The monks and nuns wouldn't want to fight, especially when threatened by powerful vampires," said Marrie.
"I think Uncle Vergil will help as well. He's full of surprises," said Shadow.
"Too many surprises, but he's a very skilled fighter," said Luciana.
"Right, even my father described him as 'a man who understands the world.' I don't know what that means, but it sounds impressive," said Shadow.
"I myself learned sword techniques from him, although the sword he always carries is quite strange in shape and length," said Luciana.
"Don't dwell on it. Let's get going," said Shadow. He headed to the stables behind the Adventure Guild, followed by his group.
"Shadow, you have a new member?" asked White Fang, seeing Lisa.
"Yes, why?" asked Shadow.
"This knight has potential... but she's still far from Vergil's level," said White Fang.
"Hey, don't compare Lisa to my uncle. That's like comparing a cat to a dragon," said Shadow. Mistral, Luciana, and Marrie chuckled while Lisa looked down.
"Enough, enough... White Fang is just joking. Everyone has their unique abilities," said Shadow, but Lisa still looked down.
"We've reached the base of the hill where St. Peter Monastery is located," said White Fang. The hill was called Walldrige Hill. Walldrige Hill was shaped like a steep mountain, with St. Peter Monastery at its peak, serving as both the entrance and exit of the hill.
Shadow and his team quickly arrived at St. Peter Monastery. The road was in good condition, making their journey smooth.
"Welcome to St. Peter Monastery," greeted a young monk with a shaved head, wearing a brown robe. He saw Shadow and his group dismount from their Wargs.
"Are you Shadow? The Assassin Master and the Abbot are waiting for you," said the monk.
"Do I know you?" asked Shadow, eyeing the monk.
The monk only smiled. "I am merely a messenger from the Abbot, nothing more, nothing less," replied the monk.
Shadow, along with White Fang and Lisa, quickly headed to the meeting room. Luciana and Mistral arrived shortly after.
