After Vergil visited Lord Petrovict in the dungeon, he swiftly made his way to the main hall of the castle. There, Shadow and Xen, accompanied by Edward and all the generals, were deep in discussion about their next move, for only the capital city of the Bellarus Kingdom remained.
“Is the last defense of Bellarus only the Capital City?” Xen inquired.
“Even so, there are many noble families who support King Bellarus,” Shadow replied, “but they won’t dare act because…”
“They are like other nobles, unable to fight yet immensely wealthy,” Vergil interjected.
“Precisely what I meant,” Shadow sighed. “I once met an adventurer who turned out to be the child of a Bellarus noble… Wherever he went, he was surrounded by numerous guards.”
“That’s to be expected,” Marrie said. “According to the data from the Adventure Guild, they deliberately make their children adventurers as a precaution against such situations.”
“I had suspected as much,” Shadow replied.
