End Of Six Vs Six

Zoe passed the ball to berry and berry passed it to Soma. They were passing the ball among themselves so fast that Krystal FC players could barely react.

And in a second, the ball was with Walter who was completely unmarked.

Walter raised his leg to take a shot, he was grinning widely.

Krystal Fc players gritted their teeth, none of them had reacted fast enough.

...Or so they thought.

Walter's pupils constricted as Kelechi suddenly appeared in front of him, casting a huge shadow that left Walter in darkness.

Walter was fairly tall, being a 183cm. But facing off against the 206cm tall Guardian, his height was very much insignificant. The sigh reminded everyone of the story of David and Goliath.

It was very shocking to see what David suddenly did to Goaliath.

Neo was hit with Panic as Walter easily dribbled Kelechi and continued to cut inside.

But Kelechi's recovery rate and football instincts was not to be underrated. Kelechi blitzed towards Walter immediately.

Walter stopped again, he drew back and gave Kelechi space, it was a one on one situation between Walter and Kelechi again.

Walter crossed his leg over the ball repeatedly and very fast.

His scissors legs was so fast that his leg stated to blur out.

In a moment, Walter shifted the ball to the left. Kelechi gritted his teeth as he was a bit slow to follow up, but he still managed to stick his leg towards the ball.

But Walter expected it. Walter immediately cut back to the right side and Kelechi slipped and dropped to the floor immediately.

Neo was stunned. In the match against Mavericks, Kelechi was never beaten for once. He had proven to be a defensive menace that proved a very tough opponent for them. But now, Kelechi was being dribbled so easily by Marbles players.

So this was the strength of the greatest club to exist in the world of high school soccer?

Neo quickly came to the aid of Kelechi who got up immediately.

Neo slid towards Walter who had raised his leg to take another shot. Before deciding to kick in with a sliding tackle, Neo had judged that Walter wouldn't be able to escape from him. Walter was surrounded and any direction he chose to go, the ball would be knocked off him.

Walter stunned Neo as he suddenly spun around, rooting his leg to the ground and using his body as a wall to propel Neo even farther away.

Neo gritted his teeth as he spun on the floor and used his hand hold onto the floor in a bid to slow his momentum.

If there was one thing Neo had succeeded in doing, it was throwing Walter off position. But that was almost useless, as Waler now passed the ball to Alf who was in a much better position.

Even before the ball came to Alf, Alf had already raised his leg to take a shot.

They were getting impatient, the thirty minutes timer would soon go off. They had about two more minutes to play. Whether it was a training match or not, they couldn't allow themselve to be beaten by Krystal Fc which according to their coach, was 'worse than a minnow'

Neo felt a bit of hope as Kelechi appeared in front of Alf. But his hope was to be dashed in a heart beat.

Alf smirked. Hah! You should be named the ghost man instead of the guardian.

Alf cut the ball to the left and he instantly lost Kelechi.

Neo was stunned as Kelechi was dribbled again. And he wasn't the only one that felt this way. despair struck them hard as the great difference between the two teams became very clear.

How were they going to defeat Marbles in the first game of the group stage?

If they lost the first game of the group stage, it could affect their confidence a lot. Unless they put up a very strong performance or if something happened to boost their confidence and get them all fired up.

Alf released a shot that went beautifully past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net. Zuri hadn't even taken a dive at all.

Buzz!

The timer went off and the match ended.

The players shook hands and they all departed.

Kelechi was filled with a burning spirit after the match. This match today showed him how irrelevant he was against a tougher opponent. His main job was defense and if he was going to be dribbled so easily in match, the he would as well be just substituted and replaced with a more attacking minded player.

Neo went home very happy. He had learnt a lot from this match and he was going to learn more. His graduation party was tomorrow and Neo didn't want to miss it.

Try as he may, Neo couldn't fall asleep. He decided to go for a solo training in the field behind his house. Neo rarely went there, the field was always quiet and deserted. It always left him with a spooky feeling. But he couldn't go to the city's stadiuom by four pm. If he did, what time was he going to return home?

Neo loved these trainigs beause he had learnt a lot in the past few days just training alone.

Neo slung a bag filled with balls across his shoulders as he marched to go for another solo training.
