Guardian Again

“Yeah!!!”

Kelechi roared in excitement, and the entire stadium roared alongside him. But some roars were not happy roars; some were angry, pained and frustrated roars.

Kelechi was their guardian for a reason. In times like this, he always managed to prove that he never slept. He would always rise to the occasion and make the save. He was really an asset to the team.

At first, they had all been scared, thinking that their Guardian had sustained a serious injury seeing the way he had fallen, even going ahead to hit his back on the post.

But after hearing his shout, they knew he was okay.

Waylon gave Kelechi a peculiar stare. “Wow, that one’s on me. I thought he was out already.” Waylon sighed. “I guess I over-underestimated him.”

Waylon smirked as he approached Kelechi. “That was a pretty nice save, second year. How did you manage to get on the ball again? I didn’t know you had it in you.”
