“You underestimate us, Moretti,” she said, her voice steady despite the fear gnawing at her insides. “We’re not just fighting for ourselves. We’re fighting for everyone you’ve oppressed, everyone you’ve crushed under your boot. That’s something you can’t comprehend because you’ve never cared about anyone but yourself.”

Moretti’s eyes flickered with something—anger, perhaps, or maybe just a flash of recognition that she had hit a nerve. He stepped closer, his gaze locked on hers. “You speak of caring, of fighting for others, but tell me, Anastasia, how far are you willing to go?
