Mistake OR Misery

The next day, Sana decided to do a background check on her doctor. She was irritated by the fear that she was feeling every time she interacted with that doctor, she didn't know exactly why she was feeling that but it was definitely related to Ash or Suzane.

"Sana, let's go." Her mom entered the room saying they needed to go somewhere.

"Where are we supposed to go, Mom?" She asked.

"This morning your assigned doctor called us and told us that your condition is much better now and that we can take you home now. Isn't it good news?" Her mom was really happy to take Sana back.

"But how can I leave so early Mom? Yesterday itself he told me about some tests right?" Sana didn't want to leave yet; she needed to get information on the doctor.

"Yeah! He told us that we can get your tests done after a few days as an outpatient. You don't need to be here for those tests." Her mom replied.

"The doctor said so?" Asked Sana.

"Yes, dear. Now hurry up and get ready." replied her mom.

"So, he thinks he can stop me; by sending me out of this hospital. I have been searching for this chance forever and he thinks that I will let it go so easily. No way." She murmured while getting ready.

While leaving she was continuously glaring at the doctor as if she would eat him alive. He had a poker face on all the time.

'But what suddenly made him change his mind.' Sana wondered.

Later at the hospital

"Yes sir, I sent that patient home as you ordered." Sana's assigned doctor was talking to someone on a call.

"Don't you think you should have done that way earlier?" The person on the other side replied.

"I am really sorry about that sir, this won't happen again." The doctor was shaking like a leaf as if he was talking to a ghost or something.

"Oh is it so? But what am I supposed to do when there is no next time?" His voice was ferocious.

"Wh.. What d.. do you.." The doctor was stuttering from fear just then he saw a sniper ready to shoot him in a building's window in front of him. As soon as he realized he was being targeted the next moment he was lying lifeless on the ground, unable to move even an inch.

"I hate it when people think they have a lot of time on their hands." This was the last statement from the other side of the call.

The snipper got an order to confirm the doctor's death after shooting him, which is why he brought mega-zoom binoculars. He put his rifle down and looked through the binoculars, he saw a shadow running towards the door. He followed the path where he can go so that he can recognize the person who saw all this but that thing disappeared in thin air.

"Hey! You told me, the doctor will be alone there." He called the person who gave him all the details.

"Yes, he was alone there, why? What happened" Mr. Meticulous replied.

"I saw a shadow running from there just after I shot the target. How can you guys be so careless?" The snipper was quite angry because this has only multiplied his workload and risk by ten times.

"Dude sometimes errors happen, we will compensate you accordingly. Just make sure to take care of that shadow problem," said Mr. Meticulous.

"Yeah! I will take care of that. You better don't take your words back like the last time," saying that the snipper ran to get down the building. He entered the hospital through the back door, and from there he went to the fourth floor where the doctor was shot dead. He noticed there were CCTV cameras everywhere, so he disguised himself as a staff member and went inside the security office. He checked the footage of the fourth floor and followed the person. He stopped for a moment. It clicked on him that he saw this person coming out of the lift.

He then came out from the security office and then ran towards the stairs. He ran as fast as he could to reach the parking lot, and as soon as he reached the parking lot he saw a car speeding towards the exit.

The snipper knew this was the same person he unlocked a car whose key he stole from the security officer's pocket while searching the footage. He sped up the vehicle and followed the person.

At Sana's home

"Do you think she will like it?" Sana's father made her favourite cake for her as a welcome-back gift.

"Of course, she will love it," her mom replied.

"Okay, then let's call her. Where is she?" asked her father.

"Where else? She is in her room." her mom replied.

"Sana! Come down dear, it's time for lunch." Sana's mom called her but she didn't reply.

"Sana!" She called again.

"Oh! I think she put those headphones on. How many times have I told her to use only one side of those?" Her mother went upstairs to call Sana.

"Sana! Come, your fath..," She stopped as she opened the door.

"Sana? Sana? Where did this girl go?"

Her mom came downstairs, "Did you see her going out?" she asked her father.

"No, I was in the kitchen. Why; is she not there?" he asked.

"Yes! She is not in her room." her mom replied.

"She must be in the washroom." her father said.

"No, I checked there also. Last time she went out like this and got into that accident." Her mom was worried, she was reminded of the incident.

"Relax dear, she must be somewhere nearby. Don't overthink, everything is okay." Her father tried to calm down her mom but in vain.

"I told her to not go anywhere for now. Why does she never listen to us? I don't understand this girl. She should take a rest for now, but no she has to take a tour today itself." Her mom panicked whereas her father was trying to calm her mother down.

'Sana had something in mind for sure but I don't think she would make a move this early.' thought her father.
