Chapter 23

The luxury car galloped wildly on the road.

Burgess ran through more than a dozen red lights in one breath, while looking at the curled-up woman through the rearview mirror.

His heart tightened. This was a feeling he had never had before.

"Oprah, it's okay. We'll be at the hospital soon..." Burgess whispered as if comforting himself and Oprah, but his voice was trembling.

In the passenger seat, Oprah was in great pain, and she was sweating profusely. Even her clothes were soaked in cold sweat.

Her consciousness became increasingly unclear, and she vaguely felt that someone was holding her tightly in his arms and running. Then there was an anxious, irritable, and hoarse voice screaming something in her ear.

"Doctor! Doctor! Come out!" Burgess rushed into the corridor and shouted.
