Chapter 48

(Kylian's POV)

I looked at she walked farther and farther away from me.

Dejectedly, I lowered my hand which was holding the bouquet of flowers that I arranged myself.

"Kylian, I love it! Thank you!"

"I understand. You don't have to worry."

"Do you want something to eat?"

Her smiles. Her sweet voice. Her care and her liveliness. All of it was gone.

Before, she happily accepted my gifts and made me feel like even my slightest efforts were grand for her. But now, she openly rejected my gift.

I still remember how she'll welcome me home and care for me when I'm tired, which was very opposite to how she coldly pushed me away now.

Della would understand and tolerate me even when she's jealous of how close I was with Flora. Unlike now where she couldn't seem to tolerate even my presence.

She used to easily blush and get shy around me, but even my closest touch with her repulsed her.

It's like I'm a mere stranger to her now whom she needed to avoid.

"Leave me alone…"
