Chapter 103

Della’s POV

“What happened?” I asked, frozen on my feet, shocked at how she was looking right now.

“Ms. Della…” she said, almost whispering. She looked so weak, and she was wobbling. Two bags of groceries were hanging on her right arm while she had her other arm supporting the bottoms of the bags.

She tried walking, taking steps one after another, but she only zigzagged. Finally, her weight went all over her right side, and she started falling to the ground.

Instead of using her arm to support herself and prevent herself from falling with her face first on the floor, she turned her body around mid-air and tightly wrapped her arms around those plastic bags, having her back fall with a loud thud on the floor.

My eyes widened. My hands were extended toward her direction as I tried to catch her before she fell, but everything happened so fast that I didn’t make it in time.

“Diana!” I shouted with immense worry and ran to her side.
