Della’s POV
I almost gasped. Mark… She wanted him to mark her…
Years before, there were traditions between every pair of werewolf mates. A ceremony would be held, and they would mark each other. That made their bonds stronger, and it showed their sincerity for each other.
In morals, it would be like giving rings to your partners during the wedding.
Unfortunately, over recent years, markings have become less common.
A stronger bond would mean higher risks. Mate bonds were what connected mates with each other. Mates tend to share a portion of their feelings, and breakage and betrayal would cause them great pain, especially for the one who was marked.
Hence, with a greater bond that a marking brought, they would be in greater pain that could even lead to death if they weren’t strong enough. With that, only with great trust and loyalty could one ask for a mark.
I stared at Stella in great surprise and even admiration.
