Chapter 208

Della’s POV

Albert and I were pulling each other, wanting to be as close to each other as possible. I could clearly felt his breath spread on my face, carrying his scent.

Just when he closed his eyes and leant over, a series of knocks on the door, alerted as.

Instantly and panickedly, we pulled away from each other and fixed out creased clothes.

“Come in,” I said after clearing my throat.

“Dad.”

“King Mason.”

Albert and I greeted each other at the same time. But while I remained in the comfort of my bed, Albert stood up to give my father a proper bow. Behind Dad was Jackson.

Surprise evident in my eyes, I asked, “Aren’t you supposed to be patrolling in some pack? Why did you suddenly come back?”

From the time Jackson came of age, my father began to leave the affairs of the Castle to Jackson while he was busy visiting one pack after another, checking everything in them, and helping disputes that may cause problems for the entire pack to keep peace.
