Chapter 213: UwU

Mew was furious.

If Dylan made fun of its weight, that was fine—it could admit that it had gotten a little… rounder… over the years.

Just a little.

But getting mocked by a Pokémon that was born from its own genetic material?!

This was the ultimate betrayal!

Wasn't this the equivalent of a child cursing their own parent?!

And worst of all—

It said Mew had no neck!

That wasn't just an insult—that was a personal attack!

"Look closely! I DO have a neck, Mew~!"

Mew was absolutely fuming.

A bright white glow enveloped its body, and in the next moment—

It transformed into its original form.

A small, pink feline—a long, whip-like tail twice the length of its body—

Yes, that was what it was supposed to look like.

But right now?

Dylan opened his mouth, but no words came out.

Because what stood before him was NOT the Mew he knew.

Instead of being small and delicate, Mew was… massive.

Thick.

Its once petite frame was now round—

No—barrel-shaped.

From its chest down to its rear, it was an almost perfect cylinder—

Just… thicker at the bottom.

Dylan was stunned.

If he had to describe it, Mew looked exactly like one of those cats raised by grandmothers, the kind you see online—

Overfed, spoiled, and so fat that its body had become a perfect tube.

Mewtwo stared blankly at the pink barrel before it, its glowing blue eyes frozen in disbelief.

"See?! I HAVE a neck, Mew~!"

Mew proudly pointed to its barely visible neck with its tiny paw.

Its telepathic voice was filled with satisfaction.

Silence.

Mewtwo was… reconsidering everything.

Leah, meanwhile, stared at Mew in shock.

"Wait—THAT'S Mew?!"

Compared to its previous Clefairy-like form, its real body looked even more like a pig!

"Strictly speaking, yes." Dylan nodded.

Lillie: (—)

BEEP—

[Mew]

Type: Psychic | The New Species Pokémon

Ability: Synchronize

Moves: Psychic, Aura Sphere, Transform, Imprison, Metronome, Nasty Plot, Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon…

Entry: "Many believe it is the ancestor of all Pokémon. It possesses immense intelligence and can use any move."

The Rotom Dex dutifully provided Mew's information.

Lillie blinked.

"That's… a lot of moves…"

She was stunned by the sheer number of abilities Mew had.

"Mew is very special," Dylan explained.

"While it may not actually be the ancestor of all Pokémon, it can indeed learn almost every move."

In the games, Mew wasn't truly able to use all moves—

There were still exclusive moves and pseudo-signature moves it couldn't learn.

But according to its Pokédex entry, Mew was meant to be capable of learning every move—

And indeed, in the games, it could learn every single TM and TR move.

That alone was proof that its ability to use all moves wasn't just a myth.

But right now, Mew wasn't interested in any of that.

It was still fuming at Mewtwo.

"Speechless, aren't you, Mew~? Hmph~!"

Mew flicked its tubby tail smugly.

Mewtwo took a deep breath, trying to suppress the mental chaos inside its mind.

And then—

"Let it be known," Mewtwo's voice echoed in the air—

"I, Mewtwo, have absolutely NOTHING to do with this… 'pig'!"

"Not today! Not EVER!"

Mewtwo declared this with absolute conviction—as if trying to cut ties before the universe itself could bind them together.

It was born into this world alone, without bonds, without attachments—

And that was how it intended to stay.

Before, it had struggled with its own existence, questioning if it was just a genetic clone with no true identity.

But now—

It had finally understood.

It was NOT Mew's offspring.

It was NOT a clone.

It was simply Mewtwo.

Mewtwo had finally found its purpose—and it was to have nothing to do with this ridiculous creature.

Dylan watched in amusement, holding back laughter.

Mew blinked, processing what Mewtwo had just said.

"Huh?! That's so RUDE! And how can you say we're not related?! Your genes came from ME, Mew~!"

Mew pouted, crossing its tiny stubby arms.

"No. We are not related." Mewtwo's voice was cold.

"Yes, we are! You even admitted it earlier, Mew~!"

"No."

"Yes!"

"No."

Mewtwo's eyes flickered, glancing at Mew's round belly.

"Our body types are NOTHING alike."

Mewtwo's voice was laced with contempt.

Mew's ears twitched in fury.

"THAT'S BODY-SHAMING, MEW~!"

Mew was so angry that it nearly burst into tears.

"That's IT! I'm gonna FIGHT you, Mew~!"

Mewtwo narrowed its eyes.

"Fine!"

At this moment, Giovanni's orders were completely forgotten.

Mewtwo's eyes glowed a deep blue, its body radiating an intense psychic aura.

It had long wanted to test itself against Mew.

"When a child misbehaves, it's a parent's duty to discipline them, Mew~!"

Mew's voice was firm, its motherly instincts fully activated.

Mewtwo… laughed coldly.

It wasn't Mew's child—

But it would gladly beat the sense out of this ridiculous pink ball!

Before they could clash, Dylan casually interjected.

"Mewtwo, you should show some respect. You've only just awakened, haven't you?"

If Mewtwo's strength was fully unlocked, then sure—

It might have the power to stand against Mew.

But right now?

Mew had been around for centuries, while Mewtwo had barely existed for a few months.

"I may not have full control over my power yet," Mewtwo said calmly.

"But to deal with this… that is more than enough."

Dylan shrugged.

"Good luck, then."

"Just take your fight to the sky. Otherwise, you'll destroy everything here."

Mew and Mewtwo both agreed.

Their psychic energy surged—

Mewtwo's barrier shone deep blue.

Mew's aura radiated a soft pink glow.

Then—

BOOM!

A blue and pink streak shot into the sky, blasting through the underground ceiling and soaring into the open air.

Lillie hesitated.

"Brother, will Mew be okay?"

Unlike the time it fought Zekrom, Mew usually just ate and slept.

Mewtwo, however, looked powerful and determined.

"Don't worry," Dylan smiled.

"At this stage, Mewtwo can't beat Mew."

As for now?

Dylan turned toward Archer, Proton, Will, Lt. Surge and Koga—all restrained and awaiting transport.

"Five Rocket Executives in one night…"

Dylan smirked.

"This was a pretty good haul."

This was a huge win.

Dylan led Archer and the others back to the surface, stepping out into the open air.

Waiting for them was a group of Officer Jennys, and the leading Jenny immediately stepped forward.

"Dylan, excellent work! I can't believe so many Rocket executives were hiding here!"

Her voice was filled with relief and admiration—

Until her gaze landed on Koga.

Her expression froze.

"Koga...?!"

Koga: "..."

Dylan sighed. "Yeah, you're gonna want to interrogate him."

"Understood!"

Jenny quickly signaled her officers, but before they could take all the prisoners into custody—

Her communicator buzzed.

"Ma'am! Two suspects have broken through the north perimeter! We failed to apprehend them!"

Jenny's face darkened.

Dylan wasn't surprised.

Of all the Rocket executives present, Karen and Will were the most dangerous.

Even if the Kanto Elite Four had been here, only Bruno or Agatha would've had a chance at stopping them.

"I apologize, Dylan."

Jenny looked guilty.

"You risked everything infiltrating their base, and we couldn't even secure all of them."

"Don't blame yourself," Dylan said calmly. "If Rocket executives were so easy to catch, they wouldn't have remained a threat for so long."

Sabrina alone was far beyond what most League trainers could handle.

"Still," Dylan added with a smile, "we caught a lot more than we lost. I'd say this is a big win."

Jenny nodded firmly.

"These Rocket executives are extremely dangerous. Leave it to us—we'll personally transport them to Indigo Plateau!"

"I'll leave them in your hands, then."

Dylan patted her shoulder before turning to Leah and Lillie.

"Alright, let's get going—"

But before he could leave, his phone buzzed.

He glanced at the caller ID.

Goodshow.

Wow, that was fast.

Dylan picked up.

The old man didn't even bother with small talk.

"Dylan! Did you just capture another group of Rocket executives?!"

"Yes," Dylan replied casually. "Including Koga."

There was a long pause on the other end.

"...How did this happen?"

In the League headquarters at Indigo Plateau, Goodshow's face was grim.

Koga had been a rising star in the League—

He had even been considered for a Johto Elite Four position once the new League division was finalized.

And now?

He was being arrested as a Team Rocket executive.

Fantastic.

"President," Dylan said, "there may be more to Koga's case. You should speak with him personally. His family likely doesn't know anything either, so I'd suggest handling this carefully."

Goodshow rubbed his temples, feeling a migraine forming.

"The League will conduct a full investigation," he said heavily. "We won't let an innocent man take the fall—but if he's guilty, he'll face justice."

He sighed.

"Still, good work, Dylan. If you ever need anything, let me know."

Goodshow might be exhausted, but he was still deeply relieved.

Dylan was the best thing to happen to Kanto in years.

"I appreciate it, President," Dylan chuckled. "If I need something, I won't hesitate to ask."

"Haha! That's what I like to hear!"

Goodshow laughed before hanging up.

Dylan put his phone away—

And glanced up at the sky.

Above, faint flashes of blue and pink light still flickered—

Indicating that Mew and Mewtwo were still fighting.

"...That's taking a while."

But considering how strong they were, it wasn't surprising.

Then—

DING!

A notification popped up on his trainer chat app.

[Gym Leader Group Chat]
