The next morning , Adam woke up early , determined to do the final revision before his exam. He spent half an hour doing so, while going over his notes before heading to shower and gathering all the necessary materials for his examination. While arranging these things, his Mother knocked the door, bringing him the breakfast and whishing him a happy birthday with a warm hug. She assured him, "Adam, don't be afraid. Take your time and answer each question wisely and don't be in hurry to submit the paper."
After having his breakfast, Adam left for his examination venue, which was held at the one of the city's most reputed colleges, the third most ranked in the whole city. When he arrived, he saw his friends..Sam, Theodore, Mike and the others, waiting by the gate, ready to give the exam.
Seeing Theodore, Adam smiled, and all his friends gathered to wish him a happy birthday.Sam asked,"Adam , How is your preparation.?"
Adam replied in calm tone,"It's all good. How about you? Did you go all through the notes which I gave it to you?
Sam grinned,"Yes, I did!"
Mike , comming close to Adam, cut in between ,"Don't worry Adam, we all went through those important notes you gave us. You really helped us a lot."
Hearing these, Adam sighed in relief, feeling assured that his friends were well-prepared.
As they were talking, The college gate finally opened after 10 minutes, and the students rushed in the crowd. In the hurry, Someone accidently knocked Adam and Adam was pushed towards Theodore. Just in Time Theodore caught him, steadying Adam with frim grip . While these was happening that person who knocked Adam said,"Sorry".
A simple spark ignited in Adam's heart as he found in Adam heart as he found himself in Theo's arm.
He felt a warmth rushed over him, before he knew it , a blush spread over his cheek.Theodor didn't noticed this , simply letting Adam to regain his balance. Adam quickly stood upright, embrassed by his own reaction, yet the moment lingered in his mind for a long time.
As Adam blushed, feeling the awkwardness of the moment, Sam called out to him, snapping him back to reality."Adam, which building are you in?" Sam asked, his voice breaking the tension. Adam was grateful for the distraction which was provided by Sam and replied."I'm on the top floor of the main building."
Adam , now being more composed, turned the question back to his friends"What about you guys?". Sam quickly responded,"I'm in Southern wing,"while Mike, Harry and William chimmed in that they were in Northern wing, though on different floors.
Lastly Theodore spoke up,"i'll be on the ground floor of the main building.
As their conversation about their exam location wrapped uo, everyone began parting ways, heading to their respective buildings. This left Adam and Theodore standing together in the vast groung of the college. Theodore sensing the time slippering away, casually askrd Adam,"Shall we go?"
Adam nodded, and they walked toward the main building, their steps in sync. As they reached to the floor of the building.
Theodore turned to Adam with a small smile and said, "Do well on your exam, Adam."
Adam, feeling a flutter in his chest, smiled back and replied, "You too, Theo. Good luck."
With that , they parted ways, each heading to their respective class rooms. As Adam walked away, he couldn't help but glance back once, catching a final glimpse of Theodore disappearing into the crowd.
Adam entered his exam room and found his seat. he greeted a few of the students nearby him with a smile, exchanging brief conversation about how their study and claming their nerves.
Just as they finished talking, the teachers walked in, carring a stack of paper and a serious expression. The room quickly fell silent as the students prepared themselves for the exam. The teacher gave a quick introduction, explaining the rules and distributing the papers in which they had to write their answers. Adam focused, took a deep breath, and prepared to give it his best shot.
As the first English paper began, the atmosphere was tense, with every student focused on their task. The invigilators moved around the room, quietly observing. At 8 o'clock sharp, the question papers were distributed, and the invigilator reminded everyone to read the rules carefully before beginning. Adam, like the others, started writing immediately after, determined to make the most of the 3 hours.
With the clock ticking away, the room was filled with the soft sounds of pens scratching on paper. By the 2-hour mark, Adam had finished the majority of the exam, leaving only three questions. Realizing he had a full hour left, Adam paced himself, carefully answering each question, making sure he didn't rush or make any mistakes. He wanted to finish strong and ensure that every answer was as thorough as possible.
At 11 o'clock, after the exam ended, Adam handed in his paper and quickly gathered his belongings. As he stepped outside and made his way downstairs, he looked around, expecting to see his friends, but none of them were there. He wandered through the crowd of students, searching for familiar faces, but still couldn't find Sam, Theodore, Mike, or the others.
Feeling a bit confused, Adam decided to wait by the main gate, hoping they would show up soon.
