Clarissa walked into the living room with two cups of calming tea and handed one glass over to Liam. He was already calm now but she insisted he drank the tea to help with his sleep. Clarissa could see signs of insomnia around his eyes and wondered when last he had had a decent sleep.
"You know how my parents died? Guess." Liam said. Clarissa watched as he tried to be jovial all of a sudden.
"Liam, it's fine if you don't--" She started to say but he cut in.
"No, it's not fine. For so long, I've bottled these feelings inside. Let me say it now. So guess." He insisted.
Clarissa leaned back on the chair and made herself listen. "Rain?"
Liam chuckled. "Good guess, but it's not just about the rain." Flashes of his childhood stuck to his head, things he wished he could just forget but couldn't.
