Chapter 9: The Boss? It's the Boss Who Gets It!

"Zijun, Big Cousin, who is this guy!"

Su Sheng was somewhat taken aback, daring to hit on his wife and Big Cousin to their faces; was he tired of living?

Yet, Chen Feng seemed genuinely unaware of the situation and even preempted with a reply, "Hello, my surname is Chen, the 'feng' from 'mountain peak,' Chen Feng." As he spoke, he even handed over his business card.

Su Sheng took it and couldn't help but curse inwardly; this pretty boy turned out to be the general manager of one of Tang Corporation's subsidiaries.

How could the corporation be anything but doomed if such a person could climb to the position of general manager?

"Chen Feng, is it? You can get lost now."

With those words, Chen Feng's face showed an array of expressions, incredulous that a beggar-like man would dare speak to him this way.

Li Meixin suddenly felt that Su Sheng wasn't that much of a scumbag; at least his talent for infuriating others was formidable, especially when it was directed at outsiders.

Zijun, on the other hand, was not surprised. If Su Sheng had been normal that day, it might not have been divine intervention but an indication that Su Sheng was seriously ill.

"You, who the hell are you," Chen Feng pointed at Su Sheng, never having been told to 'get lost,' especially not in front of beautiful women.

"I'm your granddaddy; now scram!"

Su Sheng couldn't be bothered to waste words with this person. If it weren't for the presence of the two women, he probably would have started a fight already.

"Good, very good, you've got guts, kid."

Chen Feng's face flushed with anger, but he certainly wasn't going to brawl with a beggar here. Even if he won, that would be beneath his dignity.

But this matter wasn't over.

"Mr. Tang, Ms. Li, let's get together another day!"

As Chen Feng left, he didn't forget to bid farewell pleasantly to the two women, then he headed straight out of the restaurant, seething with rage.

The two women didn't respond at all. Li Meixin was feeling vindicated; that Chen Feng always acted high and mighty, and now he had finally suffered a setback. Su Sheng's ability to irritate people was indeed stronger.

It was then that Zijun spoke up, "Chen Feng is petty-minded. Su Sheng, you should be careful."

Su Sheng laughed, "You even care about your distant relative now, huh, haha."

"You…" Zijun's anger was rising, not having eaten anything yet and already feeling full of rage.

At this moment, Li Meixin added, "Su Sheng, you really should be careful. Chen Feng is the corporation's second-largest independent shareholder. You've embarrassed him, and he will definitely cause trouble for you."

"Haha, who is he? Even the number one shareholder of your corporation is afraid of me."

As Su Sheng said this, he boldly stared at Zijun. It was clear he was referring to his own 'Iceberg' wife.

Zijun wanted to explode on the spot and have a huge argument. But with her cousin beside her, a fight would surely expose everything.

She held back, planning to wait until they were home that evening.

The dishes were served, but the three were silent. After eating a little, Su Sheng wiped his mouth and said, "If there's nothing else, I'll be off first. Oh, and Zijun, remember to pick up the check!"

He really left, leaving Li Meixin staring blankly, murmuring, "What kind of person is this, Zijun? He actually told you to pay the bill. Where's your Iceberg Queen demeanor? It seems like he's got you completely under his thumb?"

Zijun was livid, "He calls my grandfather 'Uncle' and somehow managed to endear himself to my grandfather."

"Zijun, sister sympathizes with you." Although Li Meixin said this, the thought of Su Sheng starting work in her department the next day made her feel even more sympathy for herself.

Su Sheng entered the elevator, leisurely rolling up his sleeves and undoing an extra button. Soon he reached the basement floor.

As soon as he stepped out, as expected, a large crowd surrounded him, all carrying sticks and clubs.

Someone in the crowd shouted, "That's him, brothers, give him a beating."

"Get him, beat this kid to death."

Instantly, a person wielding a wooden stick charged with great zeal as if they were racing for first prize - but today they faced Su Sheng.

"Boom!"

A single punch, plain and unadorned, was thrown, creating a loud explosion, like a hammer's blow. In that instant, the air itself seemed to burst.

Crack.

A punch connected, sending a man and his stick flying backwards to land on the hood of a car several meters away, blood spraying from his mouth and spattering the ground.

Frightened, over a dozen people were instantly petrified. Was this guy even human? How could his fists be so hard, so incredibly fierce?

However, Su Sheng didn't stop his onslaught. Once he began to fight, he swung his fists like a pair of hammers, toppling and tossing men left and right. In the blink of an eye, over a dozen men were struck down, none able to withstand even a single blow.

"Beep beep beep!"

In the vast underground parking lot, car alarms started blaring in unison.

In just a moment, over a dozen men were sent flying, causing varying degrees of damage to seven or eight cars. Such was the extent of the destruction, yet Su Sheng was holding back; had he not, those men would have been killed by his punches.

"Big, big brother, let's talk this out, we got the wrong person, we're not here to fight you."

The leader, still standing, had already dropped his steel pipe in fear, his body trembling and pupils lacking focus.

It was overwhelmingly terrifying. Luo Gang, well-versed in countless brawls, had never come across such a monster capable of sending people flying. He was scared to death.

"Pick up the steel pipe. It was Chen Feng who sent you, wasn't it!"

Su Sheng ran his hands through his hair to tidy the mess, revealing eyes filled with killing intent. He was truly angered, and his patience was not great.

"No, no..."

The leader tried to speak but was cut short when Su Sheng barked again, "I told you to pick it up!"

"Pick, big brother, I'll pick it up."

Quivering, the leader picked up the steel pipe and handed it over to Su Sheng like a blessing in disguise, hoping the boss would spare him.

"Where is Chen Feng? Tell me, and you can go."

Without so much as another glance at the man, Su Sheng spoke as he scanned the parking lot for Chen Feng. He was certain Chen Feng was nearby.

At that moment, a shimmering light flitted through his eyes as they moved from car to car, seeing through any obstacles in his path.

"Found you, quite cautious," Su Sheng said as he knocked out the last man with a wave of his hand and charged out with the steel pipe.

"Not good, Young Master, let's get out of here!"

Suddenly, a grinding noise came from afar—the sound of tires aggressively scraping against the pavement. Chen Feng's bodyguards had realized something was amiss and were trying to escape with him.

Chen Feng's car had been parked sufficiently far from the elevator entrance earlier because the parking lot was covered with surveillance cameras. If he was captured on camera at the scene, it could have caused him some trouble.

So, Chen Feng's plan had been to wait for his hired men to beat up Su Sheng, then 'happen' to drive by and witness Su Sheng's pathetic state for himself.

But things did not go as planned.

When the commotion started, the bodyguards were suspicious, and upon seeing Su Sheng charging toward them, there was no way they couldn't understand what was happening—they had kicked an iron plate. Even with two bodyguards in the car, they couldn't guarantee they could take down over a dozen thugs armed with clubs in an instant.

This man was dangerous. As bodyguards, the best course of action was to take Chen Feng and leave, then regroup and plan their next move.

While Chen Feng was still baffled, the bodyguards reacted swiftly, jerking the steering wheel and stomping on the gas pedal, fleeing the scene.

Su Sheng had already given chase. His explosive power was staggering, and he was ninety percent sure he could catch up to Chen Feng's car—it was only tens of meters away, after all.

But then he suddenly stopped and flung his right arm. The steel pipe in his hand was hurled forward, spiraling through the air over dozens of meters, and in an instant, it caught up with the Mercedes ahead.

"Boom!"

The rear window of the Mercedes exploded, followed by cries of pain and the sound of brakes screeching.

Yet within less than half a second, the car abruptly sped up again, rounding a bend and disappearing from sight, leaving broken glass scattered behind.

Su Sheng shook his head with a wry smile; he had held back yet again.

Forget it, the person escaped, but it's not over. The idiot son of the second-largest shareholder of Tang Corporation and a CEO, but he's still open game to be beaten.

Without delay, Su Sheng also hurriedly fled the scene. Despite acting in self-defense and being moderate with his strikes, not intending to kill anyone, he couldn't afford the damages he inadvertently caused to so many cars.

Leaving quickly was the best option. Let those thugs fend for themselves and compensate—that's the price they have to pay for their lives!
