'Did I really sleep through the whole thing?' Kaluar murmured, stretching lavishly as he walked down the school halls, his mouth erupting a huge yawn as tears welled up in his eyes. He turned to Mirai who was adjusting the goggles on his head.
'Yup.' He responded, a sigh of disappointment following suit before looking at the tired boy.
'What were you even doing last night?' Mirai asked, a confused look on his face.
'Making bombs,' Kaluar murmured, his voice still grogged with sleep. His nonchalant tone causing Mirai to pause in his steps. His face filled with horror and disbelief to what he just said.
'Making what?!'
'Yeah, don't worry though it's safe in my drawer.' Kaluar yawned, his arms stretching to the sky one last time.
Mirai calmed down a bit, looking at Kaluar with a hint of concern, but he nodding and kept walking along with him.
'You know,' He murmured, looking at the young elf that walked besides him.
'We have an expedition soon, wanna team up with me?' Mirai smiled, walking in front of him with a grin. 'lets team up this once.'
Kaluar smiled at his offer, nodding.
'Sure! This once we'll have an alliance.' Awkward silence befell the two of them, before kaluar started to speak once more.
'What's the expedition?' he asked, his head titled to the side in confusion.
'Oh right you're new here-' Mirai paused for a moment before responding, his arms folded as he pondered, trying to find a way to explain.
'Well, it's a huge test where everyone from the first years get to explore and come back to the school to graduate to second year. You pass when you get the item you got assigned.'
'I see.' Kaluar announced, his fist hitting his palm as he processed this new found information, his mind wandering to the possible missions he could get.
'And we need one more person to make this team official. So i'm gonna leave this up to you.' he grins.
'yeah, yeah- hey wait!' Kaluar snapped back to reality. Mirai already walking away from him waving his hand dismissively.
'Too late you already agreed!' He called out as he left him behind. standing in the hallway, as multiple other students passed by minding their business and chatting amongst each other.
'Damn it.' The young elf murmured, as he was left alone. Not noticing the curious gaze of dark blue eyes on him, Kurai giving him a passing glance in the crowd as he walked near a boy with pink hair and green eyes.
'Kurai, you ok? You seem distant.' The boy pondered, looking at his friend whose gaze just fixes on the path ahead.
'Yeah, im fine, just saw someone interesting is all.' He murmured.

'Please stop!' Celi screamed at the top of her lungs, holding onto the tail of the squirrel she chased, her body swaying in the wind as she held on for dear life, trying to tame the beast that ran away with the bomb.
They ran for miles through the city of Prospera ending up in Ansvile, running through clothing lines. The wind blowing in her face as she tried to keep up. Slowly, she crawled up the tail, her fingers clawing into it's fur, trying to get to it's back.
'It's not a nut! Spit it out!' She grabbed onto it, pulling it's mouth back, causing it to stop suddenly in it's tracks, knocking her off one of the clothing lines and onto the steel sidewalk. She open her eyes slowly in fatigue, a small groan escaping her lips as she tried to fight off the pain, the squirrel darting off through the City gates and into the forest.
'This little-' she murmured, her eyes half closed in annoyance. Quickly getting up and chasing the squirrel once again as fast as her tiny feet can take her. Her mind set on taking back that thing. The rough tech city setting soon turning into one of a lush forest, her eyes set on the squirrel in front of her.
'Get back here!' She would shout to the top of her lungs, wind brushing past her tiny elf ears, her feet lightly stomping against the grass that proved to be no obstacle to her. Though she would cry and plead, her words fell on deaf ears as she chased the creature. The path they took soon getting unrecognizable and bleak, the sun being blocked out by the trees.
Darkness loomed over her eyes, though she could still see despite the change, her one tracked mind made her faulter, tripping on a branch, tumbling down the path and losing sight of the squirrel entirely.
'damn it..' She murmured, clawing into the ground to regain her balance. Her heart raced as she found herself in uncharted territory, the trees towering over her, the random patches of they sun's rays that would peak through the leaves that slowly flowed in the soft breeze that would fly past, the scent of dew drops filling her nose despite the late day.
Her breathing slowed as the chase had come to an abrupt end, her hand scratching at her hair in frustration. Her ears perked up to the sound of a hushed noise.
'Did you venture alone?' A voice whispered in a hushed voice, Celi's eyes darted around in a panic at the sudden noise, hoping to uncover who the speaker may be.
'Who's there!?' She asked, her voice shaking with the weight of the uncertain. The sound of footsteps echoing throughout the forest as a figure made herself known.
'I've made myself known to thee, may I ask for a mere favor?' a figure clouded in white inquired, it's voice distorted yet easily comprehendible.
'I fear that you may be the only one who can help this lost soul, mana truly commendable for one of your tiny stature.' Celi looks even more confused at it's claim, her head tilted to the side as she tried to process it all.
'My mana? What are you talking about? What favor are you talking about?' Celi asked, her eyebrows furrowing in both confusion and concern.
'Travel to Starfall Sanctuary, It's journey will solve your problems and your woes in your time of need.' It informed, it's hand stretched out ever so slightly as it stated.
Celi groans lightly in uncertainty, an uneasy feeling bewitching her before the figure which illuminated the area around her, it's face unidentifiable, it's actions and intentions hard to read.
'And what if I ignore your claim and act like we never met.' The tiny elf inquired, her eyes searching the being for any signs of hostility.
'Then your woes would persist, and the world will come to an end when the chosen one dies.' Celi's eyes widened at it's claim, her heart dropped at the choice of words, though she know she probably shouldn't trust the words of a random being, for what reason would it lie, for what reason would it come to her of all people with this heavy information.
'Chosen one? Hold on. This is a lot to just dump on me out of no where!' She sighed, getting more and more confused by the second, her gaze fixing on the creature that stood before her.
'What kind of issue? The demon king is dead, the gates have all been closed and Elvendoria is ruled by the four great elves that saved us! we're at peace in every nation. What could possibly need fixing right now!?' her anger was evident amidst the confusion, silence befell on their conversation, the squirrel she once chased now running by the feet of the creature. Dropping the bomb to the floor before Celi.
She flinched when she saw it, her focus regained as the being finally spoke.
'If this world goes untreated, the ruins that had been made by the calamity and became part of Elvendoria, will only create chaos.' The figure foretold, weight backing it's words.
'That boy who you companion, will be more than just the boy you know, though he may not carry the title of the chosen one, he shall be the one who takes them to the mantle, and guide them to the path of saving the world.'
Celi was only left with more question at it's claim, the figure disappearing with a gush of wind, leaving Celi there to ponder it's words, the bomb in her hand as she stared at the spot the figure once stood.
'Chosen one? The ruins- Kaluar..' She tried to process what was happening, holding her head as she thought about it.
'What's going on...'
