CHAPTER 84

The morning was still fresh with the cold breeze blowing over the trees. Mrs Elena was sitting beside her husband, thinking of how to end his life without stirring suspicions from anyone.

Dwelling in her thoughts, the door was pushed open.

"Good morning, doctor," she greeted nicely.

It was time for the ward round so the doctor was walking round to check on the patients.

"He's responding to treatment. If he should continue like this, he'll be discharged in less than four days to come," the doctor remarked after checking his blood pressure and other conditions.

"Oh, thank you doctor," she feigned a smile, but deep down her heart, she was not wishing her husband to survive it.

The reason she was still stressing herself to watch over him in the hospital was only one–that he can talk and change his next of kin to Cynthia's name instead of Lila.
