The shockwave hit Naia's senses like a physical blow. Chaotic energy surged through the facility's lower levels. It was raw and powerful in a way she'd never felt before. Her steps faltered as the reality around them twisted into impossible patterns.

Evander's voice cut through her disorientation. The squad pressed forward through the maze of corridors. The injured lessened their combat potential, but everyone held their energy weapons. Dust rained from the ceiling as distant explosions from the larger battle shook the structure.

"Something's wrong. The chaos below... it's different."

Her fingers tightened around her staff as she tried to make sense of the phenomena. This wasn't like the controlled bursts she felt from Theia most times. This was pure disorder, reality itself unraveling under its touch. Something closer to that moment she fought the chaos beasts.
