Chapter 58 - Harmony and Havoc

Flickers of orange energy danced across the woman's bare arms, sparking and sputtering without the regulating gauntlets to contain them. Or without the injections, but they never sent her on mission with those.

The underground laboratory had transformed into a nightmarish landscape of warped metal and shattered glass from the cylindrical tanks. Reality itself still seemed to buckle and twist around her. The air shimmered with the oily colors of chaos.

Theia gritted her teeth as she fought back the pain of the acidic air touching her exposed skin. Each breath was a battle to maintain control. She knew it wouldn't solve her problems to destroy all of the air. More would just rush in to fill the vacuum.
