The Price of Harmony

Multiple V/O squads moved with coordination around the zone. Demolition teams had finished placing their charges where the enemy strikes hadn't already compromised the structure. New calculations had to be run as the Merzijan facility's clean lines were now scarred and broken.

Sensors tracked the progressive collapse occurring deep within its depths. Command had been clear - nothing of value could remain for recovery. The secrets of those reinforced labs needed to stay buried, along with any specimens that hadn't been extracted.

The scar of chaos would take care of that eventually as it grew, but rushing it now was worthwhile.

The Tactician's attention split between the early medical data of those hurt in the battle and what was coming in from others monitoring the final stages. His terminal pinged with updates as squads reported their positions and evacuations.
