"You know what," she said, her voice dripping with frustration, "this isn't working. There's no point in practicing with me right now. You're the one who needs to learn how to act like a boyfriend." She glared at me, her eyebrows arching in a perfect imitation of utter exasperation. I raised an eyebrow back, thoroughly unimpressed.
"Right, because this is exactly what I need—lessons in romance from someone who can't stand the sight of me." I shot back, my tone filled with as much sarcasm as I could muster. "Remind me again why I agreed to this?"
