CHAPTER 18

Alec parked in front of the parking lot as there was a car blocking the entrance of it.He went inside to meet Ryan and that was when he saw Ryan and Noah arguing before Ryan was hugged forcefully ,he couldn't help but interfere.

"Let him go" Alec said.

Noah turned to look at who spoke,when he saw that it was Alec he was even more pissed.

" Don't mind us Mr Alec,we are just settling some issues.." Noah didn't want to cause problems between the both of them.

" Let's go Ryan, we'll talk at home " Noah said while holding Ryan's hand.

" Let go ... I'm not going anywhere with you"

" Stop misbehaving,let's talk at home okay?"

Ryan didn't want to talk to him anymore,he forcefully removed his hand from Noah's before heading out of the car park.

When Alec saw that Ryan has gone he then turned to Noah..

" I don't know what your relationship is with Ryan but don't ever treat him like that again "

" I didn't know Mr Alec liked my boyfriend that much, don't worry about us.....we just had a little misunderstanding"

Alec looked at Noah deeply before leaving the parking lot,he saw Ryan standing by car

" What are you standing there for? Get in let's go eat"

Ryan didn't say anything,he entered the car before they drove away.

Noah saw them leaving together and he was so angry,he kicked the car tire before entering the car and driving off.

The car ride was quiet ,Ryan didn't know what to say to Alec,he didn't expect Alec to find out about his relationship with Noah like this.

" Alec I ...." Ryan was cut off by Alec.

" Hey .....it's fine,you don't have to force yourself to explain anything to me right now, just relax okay?pull yourself together first.When you're ready to talk I am here."

Ryan eyes turned red " okay " he said softly.

No words were said during the car ride but they understood each other,when they got to Mama Adams restaurant they saw her by the entrance.

"What are you doing out here?" Alec said when they approached her.

" I heard Ryan was coming so I couldn't help but wait outside for you guys" she said happily before holding Ryan's hand and taking him inside.

Alec stood outside for a while,he wasn't blind.He knew what Mama Adams was thinking but after what he saw tonight he wasn't sure if he had a chance with Ryan.He took a deep breath before entering the restaurant.

Mama Adams was talking to Ryan while pouring him a glass of water.

"My dear,did something happen to you? Why are your eyes puffy? "

"I had dust in my eyes Mama , but I've cleaned it"

" Are you sure? Did Alec do hurt you?"

" No,Alec has never hurt me,Its just dust"

" Okay that's good, cause I am ready to drag his ear for you" Mama Adams said before she laughed.

" What are you guys talking about?" Alec said before sitting down with them.

" Not your concern " Mama Adams touched Ryan's hand before she stood up.

" Let me go prepare your food " she said before she left.

Ryan didn't say anything after she left,he didn't know what to say to Alec so he just stared at the table. Alec couldn't help staring at Ryan,he wants to talk to him but he doesn't know what to say either. Mama Adams saw everything while she was in the kitchen,she saw Alec clench his hand tightly while staring at Ryan.

They didn't talk to each other till the food arrived, after saying thanks to Mama Adams they ate in silence.

Since Mama Adams had people who worked for her,she decided to sit with Ryan and Alec while the others do the serving.

After eating she called the girls and they took the plate away.

After eating,Alec got an international call so he excused himself and went outside to receive it.

" You know... that man is good at keeping things to himself,he is so strong that at times I worry for him " Mama Adams said after Alec stepped out.

Hearing that Ryan turned to face her.

" When he was 16, His parents and his brother were just coming from New Zealand when their Plane crashed. I remember Alec and I were at the airport waiting for them,he was holding a bouquet waiting to give to it his mom." She took a deep breath before she continued.

" Alec didn't cry when he heard of his parents death,we thought it was because he was strong but we were wrong. He was broken,he was shattered and he was alone. He tried to kill himself several times,the last attempt was when we noticed and we got help immediately. He was depressed for a year, after graduating highschool he was in the hospital for a year, taking drugs and injections "

Ryan's eyes blur with tears, he never knew Alec went through so much. He felt so hurt,it was like he couldn't breath.

" When he was discharged,his grandfather sent his abroad to study business management. After graduating he took over his dad's company at the age of 21 , it wasn't even up to 3 months his grandfather died and his grandmother was diagnose with dementia.

He had to shoulder all the burden alone,he sent his grandmother to a care home and He was finally deprived of the little happiness he had. He poured that loneliness into building his company to what it is today,he finally got to establish an orphange just like his mom wanted but still he was alone. No one to share his happiness and sorrow with, the only family he had left was his father's brother who wants to kill Alec and take his father's company."

" What " Ryan said with surprise.

"Yes....after his grandfather died that was went they started attacking him, they've tried to kill him multiple times but Alec is one strong bull " she laughed sadly "my boy has been through a lot. You know.... When he brought you that other day,I was surprised. Alec has never brought anyone here aside his friend Tay. When I saw the way he looked at you,I know he was deeply in love with you ,he has been alone for so long,he deserves some happiness and some love you know. And I hope you will give him that....."

" Mama Adams....."

Ryan wanted to tell her that they weren't together but she didn't let him speak.

" Please take care of him,he deserves to be loved and taken care of,I need my boy to smile again, don't let whatever you are going through right now put an end to your relationship okay?...." She grabs his hands " promise me you'll take care of him " she begged while crying.

Ryan nodded at her, he gave her his handkerchief and she quickly wiped her tears when she saw Alec coming in.

" Alec you need to treat our Ryan better okay? Don't hurt him " Mama Adams said when Alec got to his seat.

Alec was dumbfounded,where was that coming from? He was so confused.

She stood up and touched Alec's shoulder before she left.

"Are you okay? Did you cry?" Alec asked when he saw Ryan's eyes.

" Yeah .... I did but I am better now" Ryan said while looking at Alec deeply, he felt pain when he remembered everything Mama Adams said. Alec has been through a lot but still he smiles like nothing is happened.

" Why are you staring at me like that? Is there something on my face? " Alec asked when Ryan kept staring at him.

" No, there's nothing on your face...Alec ,let's go for a walk"

" Okay " Alec said before they left the restaurant.
