When Archbishop Otto seemed inclined to force his way, he suddenly noticed the gaze of the upper-class witnesses at the banquet. Knowing that unless they had direct evidence proving the missing monks and nuns were here, they would not be able to forcibly search the place.
"Count Charley, you are very fortunate. Today, in consideration of so many upper-class witnesses here, I will let you off this once, but it won't be so simple next time!"
After saying this, Archbishop Otto got into the carriage.
He knew that the upper-class guests attending the dinner that evening were, to varying degrees, associated with Count Charley's religious cult, which was his cause for concern.
After all, the existence of this vampiric cult dates back thousands of years, especially during the dark Middle Ages when it was at times more formidable than the Holy Church.
