"Shushushushu!~"
A man and a woman dashed through the dense forest at breakneck speed, gasping for breath, their pale faces etched with panic.
"Brother Feng, I, I can't run anymore," the woman said breathlessly from behind.
"Wan'er, you must hold on. We've finally escaped. If we get caught again, it's all over," said Han Feng, who was running ahead. This was ten years ago when he was still just a man in his twenties.
"Brother Feng, you, just run by yourself, forget about me," Wan'er said.
"Wan'er, if we go, we go together. I won't leave you behind," Han Feng said resolutely.
"Brother Feng, I really, really can't run anymore," Wan'er gasped, completely relying on Han Feng dragging her forward.
"Wan'er, just hold on a little longer. We'll soon be out of this forest," Han Feng said with a hint of joy, for there was light shining ahead, indicating the end of the forest might be near.
