"I hate complete men!" Kokabiel roared, hurling the spear of holy light.
The spear, radiating intense energy, shot towards Kiritsugu, piercing—a sensitive area—before he could react.
Kiritsugu's eyes widened, his face contorting in pain as a burning sensation, accompanied by the smell of 'singed flesh', spread through him. He clutched his groin, his voice a strangled cry.
"You bastard!!!"
Natalia, watching from above, a strange look on her face, turned to Kokabiel, who was grinning like a madman. "Is he—a pervert?"
Indeed, Kokabiel's mind had become 'twisted'. The sight of a "complete" man now triggered an almost involuntary attack, the other man's pain bringing him a perverse sense of—satisfaction.
Kokabiel needed an outlet, a way to release the torment that had been building within him. He was on the verge of madness.
"Mwahahaha!" He cackled.
....
"Kokabiel, have you gathered the information?" A cold, emotionless voice echoed from all directions.
Kokabiel's laughter ceased abruptly. "My lord! I have captured—a male and a female!"
"Bring the female to me."
"Yes, my lord!" Kokabiel's wings flared, and he ascended, disappearing into the sky above.
A spear of holy light hurtled down towards Kiritsugu.
Kiritsugu's eyes widened, and he muttered, "Time Alter – Fivefold Acceleration!"
Using the magic circuits inherited from his family, he pushed his body to its limits, accelerating his perception of time, his movements blurring as he dove into the ocean, narrowly avoiding a direct hit.
BOOM!
.....
.....
Half an hour later, Kiritsugu leaned against a chain-link fence at the edge of New York City's airport, panting, his face pale, his forehead slick with sweat.
'That was close.' Had he been a moment slower, he would have been fish food. A leg cramp was a small price to pay for survival.
He looked down at his—missing parts, his lips twitching, then sighed.
He'd long accepted that a life of solitude was his fate. A 'killer' like him didn't deserve happiness.
But the voice—the cold, commanding voice—and Kokabiel's terrified cries of "My lord!" echoed in his mind.
A being that could inspire such fear in a Fallen Angel Cadre—could it have been—'Lucifer'?
The thought of the 'Biblical Devil King', as depicted in the scriptures, sent shivers down Kiritsugu's spine. And Kokabiel's willingness to annihilate the entire airport, tens of thousands of people, just because of the Ghouls' noise
"Something—needs to be done." Kiritsugu's eyes hardened. Justice demanded action.
.....
.....
Kokabiel, holding Natalia wrapped in his wing, appeared before a soccer ball-sized hole in the sky, a thousand meters above the earth.
A faint white light enveloped them, their bodies shrinking to the size of ping-pong balls.
"So this is—the gate to Hell," Natalia said, a bitter smile on her face.
Being "Chosen" by the one who commanded Kokabiel—wasn't a good omen. But no matter what happened, she would survive.
Even if it meant selling her soul to The Devil.
Kokabiel carried her through the portal, into the darkness of the miniature black hole.
At the black hole's core, the laws of physics seemed to reverse themselves.
Within a fifty-meter radius, the air was still, the gravitational pull nonexistent.
Kokabiel brought Natalia to this—calm center.
"Kokabiel. It's—complicated—seeing you alive," a deep, masculine voice echoed through the void.
Natalia's eyes widened as she looked at the figure before them. "A twelve-winged Fallen Angel" she whispered.
"Tch, you're here, Azazel," Kokabiel muttered, his voice sullen.
"Oh? You've brought a human. Is she—for the boss?" Azazel asked. a hint of amusement in his voice.
"Yes. My lord wishes to speak with this mortal. Now step aside, coward. You wouldn't even dare to fight him."
Natalia's face paled. Even Azazel, the powerful Fallen Angel Governor General, wasn't the one Kokabiel called "master." That meant...
Yahweh? - the God of the Bible.
Natalia's heart pounded with fear.
The ultimate enemy of all Magicians, the leader of the Church, the one who commanded the faith of two billion people—why would such a being want to speak with her, a mere mortal?
As she trembled, Kokabiel carried her to a silver-haired young man and set her down.
Natalia looked at Haru's impassive face, then lowered her head, kissing his feet, her voice shaking. "Praise be to you, Almighty Lord."
Haru blinked, then, with a flick of his wrist, sent a barely perceptible wave of energy into Natalia's mind, accessing her memories.
Her entire life flashed before his eyes.
He looked at the kneeling woman, a wry smile on his face. Though he couldn't see her thoughts directly, her actions—her immediate declaration of him as "Lord" after encountering both Kokabiel and Azazel—spoke volumes.
He decided to play along. After all, as the one who now controlled the Angels, the Fallen Angels, and the Devils—he was, in effect, the Lord of the Biblical faction.
"Rise, my lost lamb," he said, his voice echoing with mock solemnity.
Natalia quickly rose to her feet, looking at Haru with a cautious expression. "What is it—that you require of me, my Lord?"
"I just wished to—observe the state of my flock," Haru replied, his voice still echoing with mock authority.
"What—what would you like to know?" Natalia asked, a bit confused.
Haru chuckled. "I already know."
"Omniscient," Natalia murmured, her conviction that Haru was indeed the Lord strengthening.
....
Haru's eyes flickered. In an instant, he and Natalia appeared above New York City's airport.
A thought struck him, and he glanced towards the airport entrance, a smirk playing on his lips as he spotted Kiritsugu Emiya, clutching his groin, hurrying towards the hospital.
Then, his gaze shifted towards Germany.
But instead of heading towards Germany, he turned and flew towards Japan.
