My life is surrounded by misfortune, where I have to endure the greed of men out there. No one pities me; instead, they treat me as an object to be sold.
The amount mentioned was so enormous that it made my eyes widen in shock. Never before had I heard of such a sum for my frail body. Even so, who would want their body sold to a lecherous man?
But then, the deep voice of a man who had just arrived broke the auctioneer's concentration. He was so different, though I couldn't see his face. But that voice had a profound impact on me.
Chapter 34 contains 🍇. This is another Mate-bond-makes-🍇-ok story. The positive, and what makes it unique is that it is written entirely from the human's perspective that doesn't know anything about actual werewolves, which highlights just how creepy and dangerous it can be to be dealing with two alternating personalities within the same person while being kept purposely ignorant of werewolf culture. It's not the worst. It is engaging. But it is still a mate-bond-makes-🍇-ok story. It's still a cookie cutter. So overall, it's good enough to use some fast pass tickets if you're really interested. Personally, I found it tiring and stopped at chapter 35-36. The sudden switch in the FL's perspective on her own experiences just isn't convincing at all for me. She practically ends up gaslighting herself, pretending her SA didn't happen, but I'm not sure if that was intentional from the author. It wouldn't be the first time an author fetishizes 🍇 by starting the encounter as full-on 🍇, and then using the mate bond to make the victimized character okay with what happened after she relents. I could continue reading to find out, but not now when there are other stories with better messages I could be reading instead.
good story, i like when Khane showing his cool face
