The two teams walked out of the tunnel and onto their respective sides of the field. After both sets of players took their positions, the referee blew his whistle and the second half started.
When the second half started, the Charles Patterson players retreated deep into their half at first, just kicking the ball around since none of the Williamson Memorial players seemed keen on following them. After a minute or so, they started moving the ball higher up the field, drawing out some impulsive pressers from Williamson Memorial.
When Alexis saw the Williamson Memorial players rush towards the ball, his eyes shone with a glint. For him to be sure whether what he realized about them was true or not, they had to be on the counter.
