Chapter 6: Uncovering the Truth
Eagle Flame returned to his bungalow, exhausted from the day's events. As he approached the gate, he spoke into the mic, "Ryan, open the gate." The gate swung open, and Dr. Ryan stood waiting for him, a look of concern etched on his face.
"Hey, Jonathan, looks like your suit needs repair. Who did you fight today?" Dr. Ryan asked, eyeing the suit's damaged areas. He walked closer, inspecting the scratches and dents.
Eagle Flame walked silently into the laboratory and pressed a button on his suit, which opened with a hiss. He then approached Dr. Ryan, holding out a card with the phrase "Glory to RIP" printed on it.
"Where did you find this, Jonathan?" Dr. Ryan asked, taking the card. He examined it carefully, his eyes scanning the surface.
"It was on one of the robbers at the city bank," Eagle Flame replied. "I think RIP might be a crime organization."
Dr. Ryan's eyes narrowed. "That's possible. Tell me more about the robbers."
Eagle Flame explained the events at the bank, including the 24 robbers and their similar attire. Dr. Ryan listened intently, his mind racing with connections.
"I see," Dr. Ryan said, stroking his chin. "This could be a lead. I'll analyze the card and see if I can find any clues."
Meanwhile, Detectives Jimmy and Jennifer arrived at Mike's house, located on the outskirts of Lucas City. They rang the bell, but Mike didn't answer. After repeated ringing, Mike cautiously approached the gate.
"Who is it?" Mike asked, trying to hide his fear.
"L.C.P.D. Police Department! We need to talk to you," Jimmy replied, flashing his badge.
Mike hesitated, then tried to close the gate, but Jimmy forced it open. "We're not going to hurt you, Mike. Just talk to us."
Mike stepped back, eyes darting between the detectives. "Are you guys from Travis's gang?"
Jimmy's expression turned stern. "What makes you think that? We're real police officers, not fake ones with toy guns."
Mike explained his connection to the Thrones company, where he worked with Steve. He revealed the feud between Richard and Travis, which led to the company's destruction and the deaths of their families. Mike feared that Travis's associates still sought to harm him.
The detectives listened attentively, piecing together the puzzle. They realized that Richard and Travis's families were killed, but there was no proof of the death of Travis's son Robin, Richard's son Jonathan, and Dr. Ryan. They suspected that one of these three might be behind the Eagle Flame suit and the nighttime crimes.
"We need to find out if Robin, Jonathan, and Dr. Ryan are still alive," Jimmy said to Jennifer. "And if they are, we need to know where they're hiding."
As they continued their investigation, they discovered a web of secrets and lies surrounding the Thrones company. They interviewed former employees, uncovering a pattern of intimidation and fear. It seemed that Travis's influence still lingered, casting a shadow over the city.
The investigation had just taken a crucial turn, leading them deeper into the mysteries of the Thrones company and the true identity of Eagle Flame.
