Chapter 12:
Detective Jimmy exclaimed, "Enough talk, let me go quickly! I've had enough of your games, Eagle Flame! I need to get to Bob's apartment and ensure his safety." Eagle Flame smirked and replied, "Ha ha, I'm letting you go, Detective. But don't think you're off the hook that easily. You're still a valuable asset to us."
Eagle Flame freed Detective Jimmy from the chair, and Jimmy said, "Now let's go, we have to meet Bob. He's in danger, and I need to protect him. I've been worried sick about him." Ryan interjected, "But before that, I want to tell you something, Detective. Something that will change everything. Catalina is with us. She's been working with us all along, feeding us information and helping us stay one step ahead of you."
Catalina walked over to them, a sly smile spreading across her face. "Hi, Detective," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I see you're still trying to play hero. But you're just a pawn in our game, Jimmy. You don't know the full story."
Jimmy looked surprised and angrily asked Ryan, "You lied to me! You told me she was in danger, that RIP had taken her! What kind of game are you playing?" Ryan replied, "How could I trust you, Detective? You're just a cop trying to do your job. You don't know the intricacies of our plan. But Catalina here has been very helpful. She's been feeding us information and helping us stay ahead of you."
Jimmy demanded, "Where's my phone and walkie-talkie? I need to contact my team, let them know what's going on." Eagle Flame said, "We have them, Detective. And we're not giving them back. At least, not yet. You're on your own now, Jimmy."
Jimmy asked, "Give them back to me. I need to contact my wife, Detective Jennifer. She's worried sick about me. And I need to let her know I'm okay." Eagle Flame replied, "It's too late, Detective. We've destroyed them. You're lucky we're letting you go."
Jimmy became frustrated and angry, saying, "Give me my SIM card and bring me a new phone. I need to contact my team, let them know what's going on. And I need to contact Jennifer, let her know I'm okay." Eagle Flame handed Jimmy a new phone and said, "Here, Detective. Don't ask for anything else. You're lucky we're letting you go."
Jimmy said, "Let's go. We need to get to Bob's apartment, make sure he's safe." Eagle Flame told Catalina, "Stay here with Ryan, we'll go. And remember, Catalina, you're one of us now. Don't forget it." Lina replied, "Be careful, Eagle Flame. RIP is not to be underestimated. They will stop at nothing to get what they want."
Eagle Flame and Jimmy prepared to leave, and they exited the bungalow. After walking a distance, Jimmy reached his car, where the jammer's effect ended. He inserted his SIM card and immediately called Detective Jennifer. Jennifer answered, and Jimmy asked, "Hey Jenni, are you okay? I was worried sick about you."
Jennifer replied, "Yes, I'm fine, Jimmy. But where were you? I've been trying to reach you for hours. I was worried sick about you." Jimmy said, "I'll tell you when I meet you, I'm coming now. Just be careful, okay? I don't know what's going on, but I have a feeling it's not good."
Jimmy ended the call, and Eagle Flame tapped his shoulder, saying, "Remember, Detective, this stays between us. You can't trust anyone else. Not even your wife." Jimmy replied, "I called my wife, Detective Jennifer, I had to tell her. She's my partner, my everything. And I need to trust her."
Eagle Flame warned, "You won't tell anyone about RIP's secret base until we find it. Do you understand, Detective? This is bigger than you or your wife. This is about taking down a dangerous organization that will stop at nothing to get what they want." Jimmy nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation.
Jimmy got into the car and told Eagle Flame, "Get in. We need to hurry. We don't have much time." Eagle Flame replied, "Sorry, Detective. I prefer flying. It's faster, and I can keep an eye out for any danger." Jimmy said, "Wish you crash into a building, meet you at Bob's apartment. And be careful, Eagle Flame. I don't trust you."
Eagle Flame takes a long jump and activates his glider, flying away into the night sky. It's nighttime, and heavy rain is pouring down, with thunderstorms illuminating the dark clouds.
Jimmy calls Bob on the way, and Bob answers, "Hey Detective, what's up?" Jimmy asks, "Are you okay?" Bob replies, "Yes, I'm fine, what's wrong?" Bob is in his apartment, sleeping in his room, when suddenly he hears a loud knock at the gate. Bob gets up, doesn't call out, and opens the gate to find two men standing. Bob asks, "Who are you?" They grab Bob's neck and knock him unconscious. They take Bob inside, remove their masks, revealing Finn and an RIP member. Bob's phone has Detective Jimmy's voice, "Bob, Bob, are you okay? Are you listening?" Finn ends the call and throws the phone away. Jimmy panics and rushes towards the city.
Eagle Flame reaches the apartment but doesn't know which room Bob is in. He waits on the rooftop for Jimmy, who arrives soon. Jimmy says, "Problem, it seems they've come to kill Bob." Jimmy and Eagle Flame rush to Bob's room, finding the door locked. Jimmy unlocks the door secretly and enters, where Finn catches him. Eagle Flame enters, fights Finn, and frees Jimmy. Bob is unconscious, and Jimmy tries to wake him up. Eagle Flame beats up the two men, and Finn's partner dies. Finn is alive, and Jimmy removes his mask, asking, "Who are you?" Eagle Flame ties Finn up. Bob wakes up, sees Finn, and says, "Detective, this is Finn, Robin's partner." Jimmy says, "I'll take him to the police station now." Eagle Flame intervenes, "No, you'll come with me, Bob and Finn, we have a lot of work to do."
Eagle Flame beats Finn, making him unconscious, and changes his clothes, fearing a tracker in his original clothes. Jimmy takes Bob and Finn to Eagle Flame's secret bungalow, and Eagle Flame flies there.
