Chapter 39: Interesting Fate!

Kaya looked fearfully at Usopp outside the window. She had learned from the housekeeper, Merry, that her house had been robbed. Acting like a spoiled child, she had tossed and turned all night, unable to rest well.

When she woke up early in the morning, she wanted to open the window to get some fresh air but was startled to find a strange person outside.

"Oops!"

Usopp, who had been discovered, quickly retracted his head to explain, but he was instantly stunned. He stared at Kaya's delicate face, her smooth blonde hair, fair skin, and a pair of beautiful eyes. At that moment, Usopp felt as if his heart had been shot by an arrow, one shot by Cupid, the god of love.

His little face instantly turned red with shame. A breeze blew by, and the leaves rustled. Under the lush branches, a pair of boy and girl looked at each other affectionately. But one was shy, and the other was terrified.

"I..."

Usopp, always eloquent, suddenly didn't know what to say.

At this moment, an angry shout came from under the tree:

"Who are you!?"

"Dad!"

Little Kaya was instantly surprised and happy. She quickly pointed at Usopp and shouted, "Dad, there's a strange person here!" Then she closed the window as if resisting something dirty and hid back in the house.

"This!?"

Seeing Kaya's disgusted expression, Usopp's heart sank. It was as if a song titled "The North Wind Blows" played in his mind.

"I'm not a bad person," he wanted to argue. But Kaya's father, under the tree, was immediately furious, shouting at Usopp, "Damn it! You thieves keep bullying my family! Guards, catch him!"

Kaya's father certainly didn't confuse Usopp with the robber Kuro but thought Usopp was a thief taking advantage of the chaos. What really enraged him was that Usopp had slipped in despite several guards patrolling the manor. At this moment, he began considering whether to replace the guards.

After the order was given, the guards, who had just been scolded, looked at each other and immediately took action. Some climbed up the tree, and others took weapons.

"Hey, hey! You misunderstood!"

Seeing a group of big men pulling out guns, Usopp's pupils shrank, and he hurriedly tried to explain. But the guards didn't give him a chance. They climbed up to the treetops in no time and held Usopp down. It wasn't that he didn't want to run, but the people below, aiming guns at him, made him unable to move.

"Misunderstanding, it's all a misunderstanding!" Usopp shouted.

Kaya's father frowned and waved his hands, saying, "Lock him up in the basement. I'll ask Major Bird to come over and put this thief in jail." Such a big incident at home couldn't be ignored. As the president of the Kaya Chamber of Commerce, he had some fame in the navy.

"Yes, sir!"

Several guards clamped Usopp's hands and carried him to the villa. When Usopp heard he was going to be imprisoned, he was instantly scared and shouted, "No, hey!!! I'm really not a thief! Let me go!" He struggled, saying, "I am the great pirate Captain Usopp. I have 8,000 brothers under my command. If you catch me, just wait to be beaten!"

"This kid dares to call himself a pirate!?" Kaya's father snorted.

But the housekeeper, Merry, suddenly came over and whispered in his ear, "Master, a strange young man just came and said he wants to make a deal with you. I can't figure out where he's from, so I let him into the reception room first. Do you want to meet him?"

"What? Young man?" Kaya's father was stunned, looking confused. "I don't remember having an appointment to discuss things today. Forget it, I'll go and take a look myself."

...

At this time, in the reception room of the villa, Leo sat steadily on the soft red leather sofa, sipping the black tea brought by the maid. Next to him, Eevee held a special game console, fully engrossed.

"Alas..."

Retracting his gaze that seemed to look down on his useless son, Leo once again used his Observation Haki to explore the manor. Then, he was stunned and murmured silently, "Huh? How did Usopp get caught by Kaya's family?"

If his appearance hadn't disrupted the relationship between Kaya and Usopp, this could have been a scene of fatherly love and filial piety. Leo thought, sipping the black tea, watching the unfolding drama in the manor with interest.

...

Soon after, the sound of rhythmic, orderly footsteps appeared. Leo slowly raised his head and saw Kaya's father bringing Merry into the reception room. Seeing Leo's aristocratic dress and confident state, Kaya's father immediately understood this was not an ordinary businessman.

"Strange, is he a prince of some country?" He guessed.

Not daring to be negligent, Kaya's father was the first to apologize, "I'm so sorry to have kept you waiting! Something happened at home just now, and I had to deal with it."

"It's okay, I just arrived a while ago," Leo smiled lightly.

"Um..."

Kaya's father sat at the main seat of the reception table, facing Leo, and instantly switched to his Chamber of Commerce president state, asking seriously, "I'm sorry, it was noisy over there just now, and the housekeeper didn't convey it clearly. May I ask your name and the purpose of your visit to the Kaya Chamber of Commerce?"

"My name is Leo Drago..."

Leo smiled again. But before he could finish his words, a noisy sound came from outside the reception room.

"I told you I'm not a thief! Why are you still chasing me!"

"Ah!!! My eyes!!!"

"Damn, it's chili powder! Get out of the way!"

The sound of footsteps came, very messy. With a bang, the door of the reception room was suddenly knocked open from the outside. Usopp, in a panic, ran in directly. Outside the door, guards choked by the chili powder couldn't open their eyes.

"Hehe~ If you want to catch me, Captain Usopp, you'll have to wait another five hundred years!" Usopp, not forgetting to taunt, rushed into the reception room. But before he could find the next escape route, Kaya's father, furious, appeared in his sight.

"Oh no!"

Realizing something was wrong, Usopp just wanted to run back, but a cold gun muzzle was already pointed at him!

"Don't move!"

Merry, guarding the door, took out an exquisite pistol, pointing the black muzzle at Usopp's forehead.

"Just kidding…" Usopp laughed dryly and immediately froze.

Seeing this, Merry breathed a sigh of relief. This gun was given to him by the master that morning, ensuring the butler could act in case the guards failed. Clearly, Kaya's father's morning experience made him pay extreme attention to manor security. However, as a butler, Merry lacked the courage to shoot people.

Seeing Usopp obediently freeze, Merry was relieved. Soon, several guards rushed in and tied Usopp up with ropes. Kaya's father, who had been disturbed, clenched his fists and gritted his teeth fiercely. To avoid losing his composure, he took a deep breath and apologized:

"I'm really sorry, Mr. Leo. He is a thief that the guards just caught. I will have him detained!"

After that, he shouted to Merry unhappily, "Merry, go and help resolve this. Don't let it happen again!"

"Wait, Mr. President." Seeing his main target, Leo instantly showed a happy smile and said something puzzling to everyone present, "I didn't expect to see such an interesting fate here."

"Mr. Long Nose over there, are you interested in making a deal with me?"
