Beneath a sky heavy with dark clouds.
Leo meticulously connected the soil and rocks obtained from the system to the Red Line, bit by bit. The five peaks extended like new branches, gradually reaching upward.
Before long, five colossal rock arms emerged from the summit of Reverse Mountain, gracefully supporting two massive, semi-circular islands as if they were cradling the moon.
From a distance, at high altitude, the sight became clear...
Five enormous hands seemed to be holding up an open Poké Ball high in the air. From the center of the Poké Ball, a spiral staircase extended downward, reaching all the way to the seabed and anchoring at the pool at the summit of Reverse Mountain. The staircase draped like smooth silk, descending from the heavens.
From that moment on, the already towering peak of Reverse Mountain now boasted a remarkable new feature that soared into the sky.
Gazing at the Pokémon League Center he had spent an entire day designing, Leo nodded in satisfaction.
Without a doubt, the sight of this majestic island would leave a strong impression on those who had braved numerous dangers to reach the summit of Reverse Mountain...
Only to find a group of people celebrating with bonfires and skewers at the peak they risked their lives to reach. Leo couldn't help but anticipate their reactions.
But simply creating an island was not enough.
Flying on Rotom, Leo swiftly arrived at the island high above.
The foundation was laid; now all that remained was to complete the structures atop the island. Compared to meticulously exchanging soil and rock, ensuring mountain stability, and adding special personal touches, the rest was much simpler.
In the Pokémon world, there were plenty of well-established examples Leo could directly redeem.
After another half-day's work, a Pokémon Center disguised as a vast tent took shape at the center of Poké Ball Island, serving as the entrance to the spiral passageway. Directly above the tent, a large red and white Poké Ball was painted, making it immediately recognizable to any Pokémon owner as a place related to Pokémon.
Leo also placed several tribal buildings with a rustic, primitive charm around the remaining open spaces on the island. Occasionally, soothing music floated in the air, as if someone was playing a flute nearby, adding a layer of mystery to the island.
Inspired by Nurse Joy, Leo subconsciously built this place in the style of the Monster Hunter tribes. It turned out better than expected—Leo silently praised his own artistic skills!
(For reference)
Since the items exchanged were props without special abilities, even with hidden weapon systems on either side of the Poké Ball, the entire construction cost Leo only 8,000 points.
"Alright! Finally done!"
With the final touches in place, Leo opened the exchange interface again.
Considering that the people who would climb Reverse Mountain were all pirates from around the world, and that he couldn't stay here...
Leo decided to exchange for a stronger Nurse Joy to keep these newly arrived, arrogant sea adventurers in check.
"Then... I choose you! Nurse Joy!!!"
In a flash, a unique Nurse Joy appeared before Leo!
She was dressed in a sea-blue outfit that accentuated her athletic and curvaceous figure. Her rare, sun-kissed skin and toned muscles exuded a distinct and healthy beauty.
Indeed! The Nurse Joy Leo had chosen was the one known for maintaining the health of Pokémon across multiple islands on her own! With no Pokémon Center in her region, this Nurse Joy would often row a boat, carrying her Pokémon medical supplies to the various islands she served.
Over time, the already extraordinary physical capabilities of Pokémon World residents had turned even more incredible through continuous training. Not only did she possess remarkable arm strength, but she also had exceptional Pokémon medical skills.
This Nurse Joy, due to her unique skills, cost 11,000 points—slightly more than an ordinary Nurse Joy. But as soon as Leo saw her well-defined muscles, he knew she was worth every point!
"Where... am I..."
As usual, the newly summoned Nurse Joy was momentarily disoriented.
However, with the system's guidance, she quickly understood her situation.
"The Pokémon world... has been shattered?"
A question mark formed on Joy's forehead. Fortunately, perhaps due to her regular exercise and strong mental fortitude, she quickly adapted to her new reality.
"Sir Leo..."
Joy immediately looked up at Leo and bowed deeply.
"Thank you for aiding the Pokémon world! If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask! The Joy family will be your most devoted helpers in saving the Pokémon world!"
Like the Team Rocket trio, this Joy also regarded Leo as a creator god. Her loyalty was immediately secured, and the entire Joy family was now on board with Leo.
Seeing the unique Nurse Joy before him, Leo smiled warmly:
"Don't worry, the Pokémon world will be saved."
"But before that, I do need your help."
"Anything, Sir Leo!" Nurse Joy stood straight, though a hint of nervousness flickered inside her.
Though she saw Leo as a divine figure, if this god were to make an indecent request...
Would she accept it willingly... or reluctantly?
Fortunately, Leo had no such thoughts.
"Let me transmit the necessary information to you."
Raising his hand, Leo transferred the forged details of the Transdimensional Chamber of Commerce, the Pirate World, and her upcoming duties directly into Nurse Joy's mind.
As Nurse Joy processed the information, she felt a tumult of emotions. A world full of pirates, ruled by dictatorship, and rife with war and death shattered her inner peace.
After fully absorbing the information, her eyes flickered with uncertainty, clearly unsettled by the brutality of this new world.
But just then, Leo approached her and asked, "How are you feeling? Can you handle the job?"
"I..."
Joy hesitated, then sighed deeply. Gazing into Leo's expectant eyes, she said slowly,
"Rest assured, Sir Leo! I won't let you down!!!"
Despite the harshness of the world clashing with her gentle nature, Joy resolved to face it with strength—for the sake of saving more Pokémon from oblivion.
That's the commitment of every Nurse Joy, no matter how bloody the world, to stand strong and face...everything, for Pokémon!
"Very good. It seems you've adjusted. From now on, you're the manager of this Pokémon Center!"
Snap!
With a snap of Leo's fingers, the previously primitive tribal square suddenly lit up with vibrant, electric colors.
A voice echoed from the sky.
[New manager identity - Nurse Joy xxx, defense system identification in progress...]
[Identification complete, security monitoring activated.]
[Laser cannon ready...]
[Plasma beam ready...]
[High-efficiency anesthetic spray ready...]
[...]
The sudden strange voice startled the newly summoned Joy, causing her to jump back and instinctively take cover behind Leo. But the tension in her muscles reminded Leo that she wasn't just scared—she was ready to fight.
Perhaps this wasn't a mistake after all.
"Don't worry," Leo reassured her. "What you're hearing is actually a special Pokémon—Rotom—who manages the island's defense system. If anyone tries to attack, it will protect you."
Though Joy was familiar with the Pokémon world, her long time spent on uninhabited islands made her unfamiliar with advanced technological products, not to mention rare Pokémon like Rotom.
"Pokémon?"
Joy blinked in surprise.
Her initial fear faded when she realized the voice belonged to a Pokémon. As a member of the Joy family, she had an innate affinity for Pokémon, ensuring she'd never be harmed as long as they were around. This was the power woven into her very genes, and also the reason why the Joy family had served the Pokémon League faithfully for generations.
