The worm kept on eating the huge eagle as half of its body was left with nothing but a skeleton while the other half was still being consumed

The worm gave out a happy cry since it has never eaten this much and kept on eating

Suddenly a huge light erupted from the worm as it began to be covered in webs from all directions, forming a cocoon and the body of the eagle also began to melt into a red liquid which fused with the cocoon and thus giving it a bloody colour
The sudden bright light was noticed by John who was eating a leg beside Rosella who was meditating
John: What the-
Rosella: what's wrong?
John: I am afraid it happened again
Rosella: What did?
John: Follow me
They both ran through the lush trees and bushes until they arrived at the bloody cocoon in the middle of the open sky
Rosella: A Cocoon?!
John: It seems that the worm is undergoing a metamorphosis similar to other worm type Creatures
Rosella: What do we do now?
John: What else can we do than wait and watch as the worm comes out and protect the cocoon from predators like that eagle earlier
Rose: How long do you think it will take?
John: i cannot tell but maybe a month? Normal caterpillars take a week to come out of cocoon so the worm which is about 20times larger should take about 1-3 months
Rosella: That long? That is enough for a blacksmith to make a whole match of Lutanite Blades
John: Wait what's a Lutanite Blade?
Rosella: You don't know?!
John: No i never heard of such a blade in this area
Rosella: I know I am being rude but are you by sole chance a villager?
John: Well not quite i was the previous hair of my Family before I was attacked and saved by worm innthe forest

Rosella giggled cause it is indeed true if not for worm then she won't get a friend either who doesn't want to make connections with the company through her and not with her

Rosella: If I am not wrong normally Creatures need a long time to come out of the cocoons because they can only store fat in their belly and from the way worm is, he should have the ability to store fat and water inside his skin which is much more efficient and would also allow him to evolve quickly through constantly eating unlike other creatures of the same kind
Two huge bloody wings emerged out of the cocoon with eye like patterns on them as the rest of the now transformed worm came out of the cocoon

The worm landed infront of them with a whopping size of 10m, huge red wings on the back and a tough blue scale covering all the body while the eyes look out of the face and a small straw like mouth is present
John: He really went from looking Scary to Majestic As hell
Rosella: Yeah the new look is extremely beautiful aswell

Rosella's mouth was wide open that even a fly could enter it

Rosella: Flowers won't even be enough for him to survive for a hour due to how huge he is currently

The three began to walk towards the usual route to find out a city since it's been a long time and work has never seen one before so John wanted to let him explore but they stopped midway as they could notice large amounts of smoke in the distance

Rosella covered her mouth with her hands to cover the shock but her eyes could still show it
John: Something has happened!
John: Worm do you wish to check it out?

The worm although couldn't understand what happened, it knew that such a huge smoke must be indicating trouble due to its beast instincts and also the smell of blood in the air
Worm widened its wings and flew at the direction at a high speed while the other two followed
The worm from a high altitude could see a huge village in ruins with houses on fire, dead people on the ground and rubbles everywhere
John and Rosella who arrived later also saw this and gasped
John: So much damage... Who did this?!
Rosella: That's not important let's first help the survivors who might be trapped inside the rubbles
They began to look for any survivors

A strange voice said before the body began to fail due to lack of oxygen

John quickly lifted the fallen roof up and dragged the body of the young man out of the rubble
The man slowly opened his eyes as John made him drink some water

John: We came here after watching the huge amounts of smoke

John: Could you guide us to their location?

The man began to point out several fallen structures as John and Rosella rescued the survivors
Rosella: There were about 20men, 10women and 3children who survived
John: What even happened here?
A young man woke up due to the commotion

he began to explain the entire story
The city was called The MeryGold City, it was a prosperous city with abundance of resources but a few days ago, a large group of people came on horses
The people were greeted by the citizens but the young master wished the mayor to give him full control of this city but the mayor rejected the request
The man warned him multiple times and due to the continuous rejections, he ordered his men to destroy the city
The guards did try to stop them but the man was much stronger which caused us to fall into what we are now
John: Such a huge thing... Did nobody do anything?
???: Our city has always been a independent city since it's founding
John: What was the name of the Carriage which the man was in?
???: I don't remember but I think it was some kind of leaped symbol with a alligator under it
John: A leopard and a alligator? That's the same logo of Lv Family which meant that "A fearless leopard would battle many alligators and endure alot of injuries but it would never never surrender to them".
Thinking this, John began extremely angry
Rosella: calm down we can always punish them but right now we need to help these people
Suddenly Rosella felt a white bud fall on her nose tip and looked up to see lots of them raining down
The strange material was boosting their regeneration as their scars gradually healed up and the Worm flew over the entire area of the city covering every little openings

All the people stared at the flying worm and their bodies which were healing rapidly

John: Just when u thought I knew Worm the most, he yet again surprised me
