Ronan couldn't see Sophia until the full moon, and it was driving him mad with agitation.

He missed her.

He craved her.

The thought of convincing her to be his first consumed him. He loved Matthew—he was his brother—but the idea of sharing a mate was something Ronan wasn't accustomed to. He felt possessive, wanting to be the first to make love to her.

When Ronan brought it up to Matthew, his brother tried to dismiss him.

"It's up to her who she wants to be with first, and tonight she gets to choose," Matthew said.

"I get it, but what if she chooses you first because you've been kind to her and I haven't?" Ronan winced, regret gnawing at him. He regretted everything he had done and said to Sophia in the past. She said she forgave him, but Ronan wasn't so sure. What if she still held a grudge and picked Matthew as a way to punish him?
