A Date

Earlier that day, before the whole vampire fiasco, Ronan was busy dealing with his mate Sophia, who couldn't believe what came out of his mouth.

He couldn't blame her. He was shocked at himself for blurting out those three words.

"You love me!?" Sophia squealed.

Ronan groaned. "How many times are you going to make me say it?"

"A hundred more times," she said enthusiastically.

"Not a chance in hell. I won't repeat it, but now you know," Ronan grumbled.

"Aww…you are capable of love, after all," Sophia cooed.

"Don't make this weird, dammit! I am still not used to this…this feeling," he said.

Sophia grinned, clearly enjoying Ronan's discomfort. She had never seen him this flustered before, and it was a refreshing change from his usual confident, cocky self.

"Oh, come on, big guy," she teased, stepping closer and poking his chest. "Admitting you love me isn't going to make you any less of a tough guy."
