Don’t Run

Leo felt like he was burning as heat surged through him, his muscles tense with unspoken desire. His wolf, Xander, let out a low, teasing laugh in the back of his mind.

'You do realize you're sporting a hard-on right now, right?' Xander cackled, his amusement clear.

Leo groaned, dragging a hand down his face. Shut up, Xander.

His wolf only laughed harder, the sound echoing through his mind like a taunt. Leo clenched his jaw, his eyes burning with frustration. He needed to get control of himself. Eliana wasn't some fleeting desire. She was his mate — his future.

Patience, he told himself. Patience.

But patience had never been his strong suit.

Oh shit, Xander was right. he was as hard as a rock.

Leo closed his eyes, taking in a few deep, measured breaths. He needed to concentrate on something — anything — other than the burning desire coursing through him.
