Our Encounter

I was making sure my grades were intact at school cause my dads warning was still stucked into my head , Today we had an English class this morning and it was a combined class and we being taught oral English

" Good morning class , Good morning sir

I will love you students to this take this topic seriously and listen attentively okay before i proceed 'does any one have an idea about oral English ' Just three hands up were up , max Mabel and my self .

" max tell me about what you know said the teacher , max answered the question and gave the teacher a mocking bow Everyone Bursted into laughter including Mr Vincent the English teacher " what so amusing" I said silently max is just a pompous show off .

Max seems to be the class favorite everyone crowded at his sit after class , I was standing outside with Mabel when he strolled by he was whistling a musical tune "Hi" he said and grinned showing off his gap teeth ' where is safinatu, Mabel pointed to the staff room,she's in there. I just stared at him and mumbled to my self .

"Can you both accompany me to the junior class for inspection he asked "yes" said Mabel while I said No , I have things to do in class

I told Mabel , Oh common Nicole let go your always in class and beside most junior students seems not to know you let go please , Am sorry Mabel i can't i need to go the class now and beside I don't want them to know me am just here to study and learn okay ,Mabel shrugged her shoulders, okay Ooh if you say so .

I couldn't tell why I had this dislike towards max , everyone in school seem to be worshiping him and that did not go down well with me "I will tell him off to his face if he dares provoke me or tries to intimidate me to worship him .

Class was a bit empty most of my class mates were out for inspections, i was just reading a novel Mabel gave to me when suddenly max barged into the classroom shouting my name " Nicole Nicole" he was panting and sweating , where is Mabel's bag ?please get her inhaler for me she's having an attack right now at the stairs ,Jesus I shouted I hurriedly went to mables seat and brought out her bag my hands were shaking I couldn't find the inhaler I quickly empty the contents in her bag and her little purse fell out and the inhaler was inside i quickly brought it out with shaking hands ,Max and I ran to the Stairs ,Mabel was lying down and gasping for breath max raised her up and made her to relax her back to the stairs-case whiles I give her the inhaler to suck from while holding her I saw safinatu coming she was panting too I think

She just heard about it too , she came and held Mabel she was sobbing and I started crying too we're so scared after a while Mabel was able to breath properly without the inhaler we took her to the school clinic and she was given bed rest .

" How did it happen ? Safinatu was asking max then he explained I never knew Mabel was asthmatic and I felt guilty not following her to the inspection maybe that was why she needed me to come .

After school most of our classmate went to the school clinic to meet Mabel she was more better now and looked stronger she was drinking lucozade boost immediately she saw us she started smiling and I smiled back .

" Why didn't you tell me your asthmatic And i am sorry I didn't come with you to the inspection even when you pleaded I said with tears forming in my eyes , oh common Nicole am not angry about that and beside I didn't want to bother you with it because i barely have an attack and am so sorry i stressed you guys Mabel said while laughing .Her driver came to pick her up I carried her school bag and we walked her to the car . Max walked up to me and gave me my head band I was surprise he had that with him "How did you get my head band ? It feel down when you were rushing out to meet Mabel , thanks i said. Dad was the one that came to pick us today up and and to go get my younger ones in their classroom .
