Inside the flying boat.
Luo Feng carefully reviewed the entire intelligence report. The report included a detailed introduction to "General Yong Hu" and the full account of the Shi Nation's attack. As one of the guardians of a forbidden area, Luo Feng found that this report provided more information than he was aware of.
"General Yong from the Yu Kingdom's capital has cultivated the Infinite Divine Body, and his strength is unfathomable. It's surprising that even with the help of the Huyang City formation, he couldn't kill Blood Cloud," Luo Feng thought, astonished.
After this battle, Blood Cloud God King's reputation soared.
Both the Yu Kingdom and the Shi Nation would now place even greater importance on Blood Cloud God King. The next time the Yu Kingdom made a move, they would send forces even stronger than General Yong Hu. The Shi Nation would also better utilize Blood Cloud God King's abilities.
This was exactly what Blood Cloud God King did not want to see, as future tasks would become increasingly heavy and dangerous.
"On the Shi Nation's side, Blood Cloud, Yutian Xu, and Yutian Yi are all still alive. Given the Shi Nation's style, they won't let this rest," Luo Feng thought as he steered the flying boat toward the location where General Yong Hu and Blood Cloud had battled.
"Master, where are we going?" Morosa noticed the change in direction.
"We're heading to the place where General Yong Hu and Blood Cloud fought," Luo Feng replied, prompting Morosa to ponder.
Moments later.
The flying boat arrived at the battleground, and Luo Feng immediately saw a large number of Huyang Guards gathered, sealing off the area and preventing other city residents from approaching.
"Leave immediately." As soon as the flying boat approached, a Huyang Guard came over to drive them away.
Luo Feng put away the flying boat, using an invisible field to protect Mo Yuqingyan, while Morosa naturally didn't need his protection.
The Huyang Guard team that had been about to drive them away was startled upon seeing Luo Feng.
"Luo He God King." The Huyang Guards were very respectful. They were familiar with the basic information on all the Eternal True Gods openly in Huyang City and could recognize them at a glance.
While patrolling the city, they dared not provoke any Eternal True Gods, as the latter could easily conceal themselves within a small universe domain and quietly eliminate them. The City Lord's Mansion would not be able to identify the culprit unless they paid a huge price.
"I'm just here to take a look," Luo Feng said, and the Huyang Guards quickly retreated without saying more.
Luo Feng looked ahead.
Within the vast area sealed off by the Huyang Guards, there were many densely populated residential areas, as well as some family estates, but now the interior was completely empty! Everyone was dead, not a single one left!
A thick aura of resentment gathered in this area. Over 80 billion True Gods were killed in an instant, and the intense emotions of anger, unwillingness, despair, and hatred at the moment of death converged, forming a terrifying aura of resentment.
The Huyang Guards only dared to seal off the perimeter, as the task of dealing with this resentment would fall to Eternal True Gods.
"These things happen everywhere on Origin Continent. Not even I, or the Divine Kings, can change this. It's survival of the fittest," Luo Feng silently observed.
Though laws existed, their power was ultimately limited. Even chaotic masters could devour an entire large city and its inhabitants and still live freely.
Even someone like Mei Wuqi could escape severe punishment under the law without Luo Feng's intervention.
"Luo He brother." A tall figure flew over from a distance.
Luo Feng turned to see that it was Sheng Tianyan. The usually cheerful Sheng Tianyan had a trace of sadness in his expression.
"You came too," Luo Feng remarked.
"I came to bid farewell to my disciples," Sheng Tianyan said, looking at the vast area filled with resentment, "Just tonight, 8,039 of my Tianyan Sect disciples died. They lived in this area."
Luo Feng was taken aback. Given that Tianyan Sect, a sect specializing in weapon crafting founded by Sheng Tianyan, had numerous disciples over the years, it was normal for over 8,000 of them to live in this area.
Luo Feng had stayed at Tianyan Sect for some time, and perhaps these 8,039 disciples had seen him from a distance.
"Most of these disciples were very ordinary, but they all worked hard, trying to seize every opportunity," Sheng Tianyan lamented. "In Tianyan Sect, anyone who can pass the rigorous tests has a chance to become my personal disciple."
"Among the 8,039 disciples, one was my personal disciple, named Meng Shi. He lost his parents as a child, and after growing up, he joined Tianyan Sect, working diligently and learning every aspect of weapon crafting with great care. Eventually, he passed all the tests and became my personal disciple," Sheng Tianyan continued, "But tonight, he was caught in the attack and died."
Luo Feng silently looked at the vast area, now filled only with resentment.
"I heard that Blood Cloud, Yutian Xu, and Yutian Yi, the leaders of this Shi Nation attack, are still alive?" Sheng Tianyan asked Luo Feng, "The reports say that you also took action this time?"
"I fought with Yutian Yi, she's quite powerful. Yutian Xu is even stronger," Luo Feng replied. "Especially Blood Cloud, he's much stronger than the previous reports indicated."
"And much crazier!" Sheng Tianyan said, looking at the area ahead. "In the past, he was always very restrained, never engaging in such wanton slaughter. But this time, over 80 billion were caught in the crossfire! And since all three of them are still alive, there will likely be more actions to come!"
"The struggle between the Shi Nation and Yu Kingdom will continue for a long time," Luo Feng remarked.
"Yes, it will go on. This is my homeland, and I really don't want to see it destroyed by the conflict between these two nations," Sheng Tianyan said, gazing at the area.
Luo Feng and Sheng Tianyan stood side by side, watching the vast region.
After a long time, they parted and left.
Naturally, the Eternal True Gods who came to this place weren't limited to Luo Feng and Sheng Tianyan. The entire Huyang City was shocked by this conflict! Although conflicts had existed for a long time, they had never been this intense before.
The appearance of General Yong, along with the strength and madness of Blood Cloud God King, made all the factions in the city tremble.
...
Tianyan Sect.
Sheng Tianyan had returned and summoned his old servant.
"Sect Master." A metallic lifeform respectfully saluted.
"Uncle Qiu," Sheng Tianyan smiled at him. "I need your help with something."
"Sect Master, you're always so polite," Uncle Qiu grinned, his golden face beaming.
Sheng Tianyan looked at Uncle Qiu.
When Sheng Tianyan had returned alone to his hometown of Huyang City, he had searched the entire city and found only his old family servant, Uncle Qiu. Later, when he founded Tianyan Sect, Uncle Qiu became his most trusted aide, helping him manage all the affairs of the sect.
"I have a secret letter for you. If my karmic ties dissipate, deliver this letter to the five people listed on it," Sheng Tianyan said.
"Karmic ties dissipate?" Uncle Qiu, the metallic lifeform, was startled and looked at Sheng Tianyan. "Sect Master, you love teaching your disciples and making friends. This world is still full of excitement and fun, don't give up..."
"I'm not looking to die, just preparing to do something dangerous," Sheng Tianyan replied.
"Something dangerous? Sect Master, do you really have to do it?" Uncle Qiu looked at him.
"This matter is very meaningful," Sheng Tianyan said with a bright smile. "Since returning to Huyang City, I've wanted to make every day count. This is something I must do."
With that, Sheng Tianyan turned and left.
"Sect Master." Uncle Qiu watched Sheng Tianyan's departing figure, tears streaming down his face.
...
Menghua Pavilion.
Sheng Tianyan arrived.
"Tian Yan, what brings you here?" The owner of Menghua Pavilion smiled as she approached him. As one of the two Eternal True Gods most infatuated with her in the city, the owner of Menghua Pavilion cared about Sheng Tianyan.
"I wanted to see you," Sheng Tianyan said, looking at her.
The Menghua Pavilion owner's divine body contained the source of the laws she had comprehended, allowing those who gazed upon her to see the figure they most desired to see.
To Sheng Tianyan, the Menghua Pavilion owner appeared as his wife, with her aura and smile.
"You're just going to keep staring at me?" she laughed. "Shall I join you for a drink?"
"Alright," Sheng Tianyan nodded with a smile.
"Do you know what happened tonight? That Blood Cloud God King slaughtered over 80 billion lives in Huyang City," she said in amazement. "It's terrifying. I fear Huyang City's future will be anything but peaceful."
"It is terrifying," Sheng Tianyan agreed, raising his cup. "Let's drink."
They chatted idly and drank together.
After some time, Sheng Tianyan bid her farewell.
The Menghua Pavilion owner personally saw him off.
"Strange," she thought as she watched him disappear into the night sky, "Sheng Tianyan was different today, not quite like his usual self." She pondered for a moment, then dismissed the thought and returned to Menghua Pavilion.
...
Flying through the night sky.
Sheng Tianyan looked at the bustling city below, filled with many of his fond memories.
"I have stored all my treasures and universe sand in the Dark Hall. If I die, they should be handed over to Luo He God King," Sheng Tianyan thought as he spotted an ordinary residence in the distance and immediately contacted the Dark Hall of Yan Feng Guild.
Long ago, he had placed all his valuable treasures and universe sand in the Dark Hall of Yan Feng Guild.
With a whoosh, Sheng Tianyan flew to the entrance of the residence.
"Open the door," Sheng Tianyan urged.
The door opened, and Sheng Tianyan flew inside.
In front of a pavilion in this ordinary residence, Sang Shuiyun sat, drinking in solitude.
"You've come," Sang Shuiyun said, looking at him.
In all of Huyang City, only Sheng Tianyan could easily enter Sang Shuiyun's residence.
"Yes," Sheng Tianyan replied, sitting down beside him.
"Drink with me," Sang Shuiyun said, tossing him a wine flask.
Sheng Tianyan caught the flask and looked at it. "Brother Sang, back then, you and I were both alone in Huyang City. Seeing you was like seeing my own reflection. Like me, you were also infatuated with the Menghua Pavilion owner, and like me, you were unattached..."
"No, you have attachments. You founded Tianyan Sect and trained many disciples in weapon crafting," Sang Shuiyun said.
"I always thought you and I were the same," Sheng Tianyan said, looking at him.
"You and I are the same. You're my only friend in Huyang City, and perhaps the only friend I have in this world," Sang Shuiyun replied, looking at him.
"But we're not the same," Sheng Tianyan said softly. "I've gradually realized that you don't care about anything. You wouldn't mind destroying the world, and if you ever decided to kill me, you wouldn't hesitate."
Sang Shuiyun frowned and looked at him. "What are you saying, Brother Shang?"
"In all of Huyang City, the only person you can't fool is me," Sheng Tianyan said, looking at Sang Shuiyun. "If it weren't for your madness, I really wouldn't want to reveal this."
Sang Shuiyun remained silent, his gaze growing cold.
"Blood Cloud God King, I haven't mistaken your identity, have I?" Sheng Tianyan asked, looking at him.
