Hunt For Revenge

"Sheng Tianyan is dead?" Luo Feng murmured softly.

Luo Feng had witnessed too much life and death throughout his growth. Back on Earth, he had seen many heroes sacrifice their lives for the planet. Later, he witnessed numerous figures, including the Great Axe Founder, perish during the rise of the human race in the original universe.

Having experienced so much, Luo Feng's mind had become incredibly resilient.

"How did Sheng Tianyan die?" Luo Feng sent a message to the Yan Feng Guild's Dark Hall.

"This information costs 1 Universe Sand," the Dark Hall responded, as the intelligence was currently spreading rapidly, and the Yan Feng Guild was selling it at a relatively low price.

"I'll purchase the information," Luo Feng replied.

"Tonight, Sheng Tianyan went to observe the battle between General Yong and the Blood Cloud God King. Afterward, he returned to Tianyan Gate to arrange some matters and then went to see the Pavilion Master of Menghua. Later, he went alone to meet Sang Shuiyun. A fight broke out at Sang Shuiyun's residence, during which Sheng Tianyan used the Karmic Communication Order to send out information, confirming that Sang Shuiyun is indeed the Blood Cloud God King. The battle lasted only a moment before Sheng Tianyan was killed, and Sang Shuiyun escaped and disappeared," the Yan Feng Guild's Dark Hall relayed.

Luo Feng understood.

"Sheng Tianyan, you didn't tell me about this to avoid involving me?" Luo Feng muttered to himself, "That Blood Cloud God King cannot threaten me; I could have killed him!"

Luo Feng had been on the Origin Continent for over twenty eras.

Sheng Tianyan was his only friend!

Although he knew many Eternal True Gods, they were merely acquaintances. The only person he truly admired and considered a real friend was Sheng Tianyan.

He remembered their first meeting when he had no reputation at all, sitting in the ordinary Menghua Pavilion. The more famous Eternal True Gods had ignored him, but Sheng Tianyan had approached him warmly and enthusiastically.

He didn't care about Luo Feng's strength and befriended him purely out of goodwill. From their first meeting, he had given Luo Feng valuable information about Huyang City and its dangers.

For over twenty eras, Luo Feng had always sought Sheng Tianyan's help, asking him for advice on the mysteries of body refinement.

The only time Sheng Tianyan urgently requested something was to ask Luo Feng to save the children of a friend.

"You never asked me for anything for yourself," Luo Feng looked into the distance, his gaze alerting Morosa.

"Come with me," Luo Feng ordered.

"Yes." Morosa sensed that something was different in his master's eyes. Since arriving on the Origin Continent, his master had never looked like this.

Whoosh.

Luo Feng, piloting his flying boat, headed straight for the Yan Feng Guild's Dark Hall with Morosa.

...

At the City Lord's Mansion.

Mo Lixiao, the Lord of Huyang City, and the white-haired elder were all gathered together.

As the supreme commander of the Huyang Army Corps, Mo Lixiao had the ability to traverse the void directly. He had already gone to the Yan Feng Guild to retrieve the Karmic Tracing Order.

"This is the Karmic Tracing Order left by Sheng Tianyan," Mo Lixiao said, holding a token. "With this, we can pinpoint the Blood Cloud God King's location."

"Sheng Tianyan has made a great contribution," the Lord of Huyang City said.

"But unfortunately, he is already dead," the white-haired elder shook his head.

Mo Lixiao remained calm. "Now, we just need to wait for the Marquis' orders."

"The Blood Cloud God King is too powerful. Without the Huyang City Grand Formation, even General Yong could not defeat him," the Lord of Huyang City said gravely. "Given his strength, killing the Blood Cloud God King will be very difficult."

"Indeed," the white-haired elder nodded. "In the entire Jiujang Chaos State, there is no one under the Marquis's command who can match General Yong."

"The most terrifying Eternal True Gods in the Yu Kingdom are all followers of the Five Divine Kings," Mo Lixiao said. "Without special reasons, they wouldn't come to a place like Huyang City."

The resources bestowed by a Divine King naturally far exceeded those of a Chaos Sovereign.

That's why the vast majority of powerful beings chose to follow the Divine Kings.

"Yes, if the Marquis needs to mobilize forces, he will likely have to borrow experts from other places," the Lord of Huyang City nodded. "This is not something that can be resolved quickly."

The two great kingdoms had a tacit understanding regarding their conflicts.

In normal conflicts, if many Eternal True Gods died, it was simply because they weren't strong enough, which was considered a relatively low-intensity conflict.

If one day a Chaos Sovereign personally intervened, the intensity of the war would be terrifying, and the mere aftermath could cause the death of countless lives. The Eternal True Gods wouldn't dare to participate, and whichever side's Chaos Sovereign won would determine the victor.

As for the Divine Kings, their involvement was highly unlikely.

If they did intervene, the consequences would be extremely far-reaching, potentially drawing the attention and involvement of all the Divine Kingdoms on the Origin Continent.

Without absolute certainty, the Divine Kings wouldn't get involved.

These ancient beings sought resources for their cultivation, and without certainty, they wouldn't engage in life-and-death struggles.

Like when Shiguo destroyed Jinguo, once they acted, they gave no chance for the Jin Divine King to resist! They completely annihilated all the strong in Jinguo's royal capital, leaving only the Jin Divine King to flee miserably into the Universe Sea.

"The Marquis has issued orders," the white-haired elder's eyes brightened. As the head of the Jiang family in Huyang City, he naturally received the orders.

"What are they?" the Lord of Huyang City and Mo Lixiao asked.

"The Marquis's order is only one: increase the bounty on the Blood Cloud God King, Yutianhu, and Yutianyi," the white-haired elder said.

The Lord of Huyang City understood. "It seems the Marquis is hoping that the bounty will attract some terrifying experts to take action."

"Mobilizing forces also takes time. If someone accepts the bounty and kills the Blood Cloud God King, it would be a good thing," Mo Lixiao said. "I've heard that some ancient kingdoms and mysterious great powers on the Origin Continent have nurtured elites who travel across the continent. If they come across such a high bounty, they might come to Huyang City."

"How much is the bounty?" the Lord of Huyang City asked.

"The Marquis has ordered the bounty for the Blood Cloud God King to be increased to 10 million Universe Sand! Yutianhu's bounty will be raised to 2 million, and Yutianyi's bounty to 1 million," the white-haired elder said.

Mo Lixiao and the Lord of Huyang City were momentarily stunned.

As expected of the Marquis! Such generosity!

The Marquis controlled the entire Jiujang Chaos State, including three large cities and 189 ordinary cities. The residents all had to pay a "residence fee." Although each resident paid a small amount, the total was enormous. After deducting the costs of running the cities and the portions paid to the Divine Kings and Jiujang Marquis, the remaining wealth was considerable.

A mere 10 million Universe Sand? It was nothing to Jiujang Marquis.

He would rather spend some Universe Sand on bounties than seek the help of the Divine Kings for such a minor issue.

"In our Yu Kingdom alone, there are at least a dozen Eternal True Gods on par with General Yong, and three or four who are even more outstanding," the white-haired elder said. "Not to mention the elites cultivated by some of the great powers on the Origin Continent. With over 10 million Universe Sand as a bounty, I believe that within one era, we will attract experts with enough strength!"

...

Luo Feng piloted his flying boat to the Yan Feng Guild's Dark Hall.

"Luohe God King," the deputy head of the Yan Feng Guild personally received him. "These are all the items Sheng Tianyan left for you."

He handed over a jade bottle.

Luo Feng took it and examined it. Inside were over 3 million Universe Sand, a large quantity of materials, weapons, and treasures, and most notably, a letter.

"Luohe God King, by the time you read this letter, I should already be dead. You don't need to grieve for me. When I returned to my hometown of Huyang City alone, I didn't intend to live. Later, some of the young ones in the city moved me, and I thought to myself, I'll live as if I'm already dead! I decided to spend my remaining days doing something meaningful, making each day count."

"I've left you all the resources I've accumulated in my life. I have no other requests. I know your sense of justice and your willingness to stand up for the weak, and that's all I could hope for."

"After spending so much time in Huyang City and meeting so many people, you're the one I admire the most, Luohe God King."

"The path of cultivation is difficult. You must take care of yourself. If you face a formidable enemy, it's not shameful to bow your head and endure it. The key is to survive because only by surviving can you have the opportunity to kill your enemies. Sometimes, surviving is harder than dying."

"My life has come to an end! I wish you, my friend, that you achieve your goals and never feel like you've wasted a day."

This letter was filled with the words of an old friend, but Luo Feng only felt more pain.

"Sheng Tianyan, you were the only friend I made after coming to the Origin Continent," Luo Feng murmured. "The only one I admired. Don't worry, you sacrificed your life to reveal the identity of the Blood Cloud God King. I promise you... he will die! He won't escape!"

Luo Feng turned and left.

The deputy head of the Yan Feng Guild watched this scene. "This Luohe God King had an extraordinary relationship with Sheng Tianyan, but the Blood Cloud God King is not to be trifled with either."

"Whoosh."

Leaving the Yan Feng Guild, Luo Feng, with Morosa waiting outside, immediately piloted the flying boat away.

"Master," Morosa looked at Luo Feng.

Luo Feng gazed at the vast Huyang City under the night sky. "I remember, as long as you've sensed a living being's aura, you can track it, right? Sang Shuiyun, we've met more than once! Can you find him?"

Morosa communicated telepathically, "Master, rest assured, as long as he doesn't have a perfect divine body that can completely isolate his aura, once we're close, I can definitely lock onto his aura."

"We'll start searching the entire Huyang City now!" Luo Feng said. "I'll pilot the flying boat, and you carefully sense and track him."

"Yes," Morosa replied.

Luo Feng immediately piloted the flying boat, swiftly flying over the various regions of Huyang City while Morosa carefully sensed each area.
