Last time on One Piece, The Straw Hats got over the Reverse Mountain. Everyone except Luffy and Zephyr got swallowed up by a whale.
Zephyr and Luffy walked through the passageway, but after a while, everything started shaking, and Luffy were sent flying through the passageway, crashing against the walls every once in awhile.
Luffy: AAAHHHH!!! I'M GETTING DIZZY!
Zephyr: Waw he's flying down the passageway, oh right I should go after him. Hang on Luffy! I'll catch up! *Runs after him*
At one point, they reached the end of the passageway, and arrived at a massive hallway, with a small canal in the middle.
Luffy: What is it this time? The sea? A river? A channel?
Zephyr: Interesting, this is getting very interesting.
They didn't get much time to breathe as they noticed that everything was tilting, to the point where Luffy falls through the massive hallway, and Zephyr is chilling in the air, and she follows Luffy down.
Luffy: AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
Zephyr: Weeeee!
Luffy fell for awhile, Zephyr follows him for awhile as well, and Zephyr noticed something in the distance
Zephyr: Look a door, Luffy.
Luffy looked at the direction that Zephyr is pointing at, and there was indeed a door, right next to the were two people.
Zephyr: Oh hey she's pretty cute, wait Luffy you're going to hit them-ouch.
Luffy: I can't stop!
Luffy crashed into the duo that were standing at the door.
Zephyr stand at the door while looking at them flying, and she sees the ship with the others on it.
Zephyr: Oh hey guys! You're alive nice!
Zoro: Luffy?
Sanji/Nami: Zephyr?/Zephyr!
Luffy: Hey! So everyone's okay? In any case, help!
Luffy fell into the gastric acids, Zephyr is about to dive in, but Zoro and Sanji jumped in first. So she hops onto the ship instead, Luffy was rescued and brought back to the ship.
Nami: Zephyr! You're okay!
Zephyr: Aye of course I am, are you doing good? *Pat her head*
Usopp: It's calmed down. The whale is quiet now.
Zoro: Seems like it. Now, *towards Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9* we did save you guys for the time being, but who are you?
Miss Wednesday: Mr. 9, they're pirates.
Mr. 9: I-I know, Miss Wednesday. B-But if we talk to them, they should understand, perhaps--
He was interrupted by an old man that was standing at the door that Luffy had previously crashed into.
???: You thugs are still around?! Don't make me say this again! I won't let you lay a finger on Laboon as long as I'm alive!
Usopp: He's back.
Zephyr: Oh shit *Hides behind Nami*
Nami: Zephyr?
Zephyr: Shhh let me stay here for a bit.
Luffy: Who's that?
Sanji: An old guy named Crocus.
Miss Wednesday started giggling and everyone looked at her direction, as she was standing up, holding her weapon.
Miss Wednesday: Even if you say so, we can't leave.
Mr. 9: Taking down this whale is our mission. We won't let you interfere with our whale hunting this time! We'll open an air vent in his stomach! Let's go, baby!
Miss Wednesday: Roger!
They fired two cannon balls, but just before hitting the whale's stomach, Crocus and Zephyr jumped in and received the impact.
Straw Hats: Zephyr!!
Usopp: They both jumped straight into the bullets!
Sanji: Could it be.....They were protecting the whale?
Miss Wednesday: *Laughs* Stop this pointless resistance!
Mr. 9: If you want to protect the whale so badly, go right ahead. We'll turn it into food for our town.
The two started laughing, until Zephyr grab them both by their shirts.
Zephyr: Shut the fuck up! *Look at them dead in the eye* try it again if you want to see Lucifer himself.
Mr. 9: Y-You think you can scare us?
Miss Wednesday: Y-Yeah you don't scare us.
Zephyr: Yeah? Wanna try? *Pull back my arm, about to punch them*
Crocus/Nami: Stop!/Zephyr!
Zephyr lowers her arm, and instead smacks Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9 heads together, knocking them out.
Usopp: Zephyr?
Zephyr: Sorry.....I lost control of myself for a bit.
Some moments later, everyone was on Crocus's Island, Mr. 9 and Miss Wednesday were tied up.
Crocus: I thank you for saving me.
Zephyr: They just pissed me off, that's all.
Nami: Say, who are these guys? What are you doing inside the whale?
Crocus: They're thugs from a nearby town. They're after whale meat, if they capture Laboon, it can feed the townspeople for at least 2-3 years.
Nami: Laboon?
Crocus: It's the name of this whale. It's the world's largest whale, called the Island Whale, which lives only in the West Blue. I won't let them have him as food, there are reasons he keeps hitting himself on the Red Line, and howling towards the Reverse Mountain.
Nami: A reason?
Crocus: Yeah. He's a whole whale with a human heart, and he's been devotedly waiting for a certain pirate group for 50 whole years. I'll tell you Laboon's story.
One Emotional Flashback Later.
Usopp: Laboon has been waiting for those guys for 50 years?!
Nami: Is that why he continues to howl at the wall, hitting himself on it?
Crocus: Yeah.
Crocus went towards the massive door and opened it, the Going Merry and Crocus Island traveled through it. They arrived to another door that led outside.
Luffy: There it is! The real sky!
Usopp: But 50 years? Those pirates sure are making him wait a long time.
Sanji: Idiot! This is the Grand Line. They're dead. No matter how long he waits, they won't come back.
Zephyr: Yeah, it's not like one of them is going to return to Laboon as a skeleton or something....Wait! Yohohoho!
Luffy: Ooh! Having a skeleton as a crewmate, let's do it!
Zephyr: Sure why not, if we find one.
Nami: 50 years ago, the Grand Line was an uncharted sea, more terrible and chaotic than it is now.
Zephyr: Good times, it was such a fun adventure, I remember when I had to wrestle a giant octopus in order to make takoyaki for the crew, ahh good times.
Usopp: Why are you talking so hopeless?! You don't know that for sure yet! They might come back! It's a very touching story! A whale continues to believe in the promise his friends made, right, pops?
Crocus: Yeah, but reality is often disappointing. I confirmed it using reliable information. They ran away from the Grand Line.
Usopp: Can't be, don't tell me, they left without him?!
Nami: Ran away from the Grand Line, does that mean they went through the Calm Belt alive?
Zephyr: I mean we did do it, didn't we?
Nami: By pure luck!
Zephyr: Still did it *stick my tongue out*
Crocus: Even if they are alive, they'll probably never gonna come back here. Seasons, weather, current, wind direction. They are all random, common sense is useless in the Grand Line. The terror of the Grand Line takes over the weak minds in an instant.
Sanji: So having weak mind, they ran away from this sea without keeping their promise in order to save their asses.
Usopp: They abandoned this whale?! When he's been waiting for 50 years?! That's cruel!
Nami: If you know that, why haven't you told him? That whale can understand what people say, right?
Crocus: I did tell him, everything. And ever since then, he started howling at the Reverse Mountain, and slamming his body against the Red Line. It's as if he's insisting that they'll come back from the other side of that what any time now.
Sanji: What a whale.
Crocus: He refuses my words because if he accepts them, it means that there is no point in waiting. He's afraid of that more than anything. He's from the West Blue, there's no way of going back there now. That's why those pirates he came here with are his only buddies and hope.
Sanji: But you know, it's true that he is a poor whale, but in a way you were also betrayed, right? Haven't you done enough for him already?
Crocus: Look at the scars on his forehead! If he continues to hit his head hard like that, he'll die without a doubt. It's a strange relationship, but I've been with him for 50 long years. I can't just stand by and watch him die now.
Zephyr: Right! Guess it's my turn now *get up and start stretching*
Nami: Huh?
Zephyr: Laboon! My name is Zephyr! And I challenge you to a fight!
Strat Hats: Huh?!
Zephyr jumps up into the sky and dive in to punch Laboom in the head, with a wind powered fist, and Laboon hit her back.
Straw Hats: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!!
Luffy: She's helping him.
Usopp: How is that helping?!
Luffy: You'll see.
They continued on fighting each other for awhile.
Crocus: Wha-Hey!
Nami: Don't worry. She won't die even if she's crushed.
Zoro: Zephyr! What the hell are you trying to do?!
Zephyr: Giving him another reason!!
As Laboon was about to launch himself once more at Zephyr.
Zephyr: Alright! It's a draw this time! I'm strong aren't I? You wanna defeat me, don't you?! Our fight isn't over yet! So we have to fight again, your buddies are dead, but I'm your rival forever, we definitely have to fight again in order to decide who's stronger. After going around the Grand Line, we'll come back to see you again, and when I come back, let's fight again! After all I have to beat everyone who's strong, because I Will Become The Strongest!
Laboon howled, but this time with tears of happiness.
Zephyr: Should I draw the Strat Hat symbol on his forehead? Imma do it.
Some minutes later, Laboon now have the Straw Hat symbol and if you look closer, you can see the letter R in the corner.
Zephyr: Hmmm. This is good, this is the symbol of our promise to fight again. Until we come back, don't remove that mark by hitting your head, got it?
Laboon responded in an affirmative way.
Zephyr: Alright mission accomplished guys, what is everyone looking at me for?
Nami: Is that what it means?
Zephyr: Huh? Oh! Yes it is, because that's a promise I made with an old friend, and I intend to keep that promise no matter what.
Back on the Going Merry
Zephyr: Hey, where did those guys go?
Nami: Those guys? Oh, those weird people? Maybe they ran away? I wonder who they were after all.
Zephyr: Hmmmm.....Oh well.
Zephyr walked through the Going Merry and found a weird compass.
Zephyr: A Log Pose? This must be those weirdos, ahahaha they ain't getting anywhere without this.
Nami: AAAAAHHHHHH!
Zephyr: I think she finally realized that the normal compass doesn't work.....
Zephyr quickly headed towards the direction that she heard Nami screamed from, she arrived at the same time as Sanji, Usopp, and Luffy.
Zephyr: Did something happen?
Sanji: What's the matter, Nami-san~? If it's your food you're worried about, it's ready!
Usopp: Oh? Meal time.
Nami: Th-The compass is broken! It doesn't point in any direction!
Nami showed that the compass was just spinning right round right round like a record-sorry
Sanji: Ahh, you're right.
Usopp: It's spinning.
Zephyr: Right round-sorry.
Luffy: Whoa! That's cool!
Crocus: Looks like you guys came here with no knowledge. For heaven's sake! Did you come here to die?
Nami: What?
Luffy: Meal?
Sanji: Feed, in your case.
Crocus: I thought I told you that common sense is useless in this sea. It's not that compass is broken.
Nami: Hm? Then, could it be that the magnetic fields are....
Crocus: That's right. The Island in the Grand Line contains lots of magnetic minerals. Because of that, they are causing abnormality throughout the Grand Line. Furthermore, the current and the winds don't have constancy. If you're a navigator, you should know how scary that is.
Nami: It's true that if we don't have a way of knowing our direction, it's hopeless.
Luffy and Zephyr are busy eating.
Luffy: Yummy!
Zephyr: Used up some energy, nom nom.
Nami: I-I didn't know! Oh, well....
Usopp: Hey! That's bad! Are we gonna be okay?!
Luffy: This isn't bad, it's yummy!
Nami: Hey, you guys! Please just be quiet!
Luffy: The nose of the Elephant Bluefin Tuna tastes good!
Crocus: You need a Log Pose to travel around the Grand Line.
Nami: Log Pose? I've never heard of it.
Zephyr: Back then we didn't have this fancy stuff, we only had good ol Rory Z. Griffin.....Aka meee.
Crocus: It's a special compass that can read magnetism.
Zephyr pulled out the one that she found moments earlier.
Zephyr: Is it something like this?
Crocus: Yeah, that's it. Without the Log Pose or someone who can read magnetism, it's impossible to travel in the Grand Line.
Nami: I see. But hold on a second, Zephyr?
Zephyr: Oh no no, I know that look!
Zephyr gained Ultra Instinct and dodged Nami's punch.
Zephyr: Nope! Not this time Felicia!
Nami: How come you have one?!
Zephyr: Hey hey, I just found it on the Merry! It's probably belonged to those two weirdos, but you didn't have to attack me! >:C
Nami: Why didn't you tell me?!
Zephyr: You didn't ask!
Nami: How should I know you have it?!
Zephyr: By asking nicely! Zephyr do you have a Log Pose or HEARD OF IT?!
Usopp: Uh guys?
Zoro: Shh Usopp let them argue, it's good for their marriage life.
Sanji: Marriage?!
Nami grabs the Log Pose from Zephyr's hand, before Sanji jump her.
Zephyr: Why meeeee.
Sanji: I will not let you take Nami-san from me!
Zephyr: Aaaaaa.
In another Island, far away.
Silver-Hair: I feel like Rory is getting attacked by someone again, for a girl? Classic Rory.
On a Pirate ship somewhere.
Red-Hair: *Sneeze* Is Rory getting attacked? Nahhh she's probably fine.
In an Island somewhere hidden.
Woman with freckles: Hmm....My motherly instinct is tingling.....I hope Ace and Rory are fine.
Back to the Straw Hats.
Nami: So this is the Log Pose. There's no dial face.
Crocus: It's known that the magnetism of Islands in the Grand Line follow a certain rule. That is, by recording the magnetism of two Islands pulling against each other, you can find the route to the next Island. Since you can't even figure out its location in this sea, the magnetism record of the Log Pose is the only thing you can depend on. At first, you can pick one out of the seven magnetism produced by Reverse Mountain. But no matter which Island you start with, those magnetism will eventually pull against each other and link themselves to one route. And the name of the Island at the end of the route is Raftel. It's the last point on the Grand Line The only one in history who confirmed that Island is the King of the Pirates, It's a legendary island.
Nami: Raftel...
Usopp: Then, the One Piece is there?!
Crocus: Who knows? That's the most prominent theory, but no one has been able to reach there. *Looks towards Zephyr*
Zephyr: *Whistles while standing on top of Sanji.*
Luffy: We'll know once we get there. Now that I'm done eating, shall we get ready?
Sanji: You ate it all by yourself?!
Usopp: Whoa! Even the bones are gone!
Zephyr: Why would you eat the bones? *Get off of Sanji.*
Nami: Log Pose, huh? We have to take good care of this. This is the key to our journey.
Sanji: You damn rubber man! I wanted Nami-san.....I wanted Nami-san to.....Eat more!
Sanji kicked Luffy, but he didn't look at what direction he kicked him so....The Log Pose got broken....
Zephyr: Uh oh rip.
Luffy: Ouch! What are you doing?
Sanji: That'll show you, you damn rubber man.
Nami: Sanji-kun.....
Sanji: Yes, Nami-san~!
Nami: Both of you, go cool your heads off!!!
Sanji and Luffy were sent into the ocean by a powerful kick from Nami, and Zephyr holds up a scoreboard again that says 10.
Zephyr: Nice kick! 10 points!
Usopp: Hey, hold on a sec, wasn't that something really important?!
Nami: Our precious Log Pose was....
Crocus: Don't panic. I'll give you mine. I wanna thank you guys for Laboom, too.
Laboon pushed Sanji, Luffy, Miss Wednesday, and Mr. 9 out the water. Zephyr walked up to Luffy and Sanji.
Zephyr: Hey, you guys okay?
Luffy: Ahhhh, I thought I'd die.
Sanji looked at Miss Wednesday and walked up to her.
Sanji: Here, take my hand, honey.
Miss Wednesday: Oh, thank you.
Zephyr quickly looks towards her.
Zephyr: That's strange...For a second there I thought it sounded different.....
Mr. 9: Hey! We have a favor to ask.
Small time skip
Luffy: Whisky Peak? That's a weird name.
Usopp: What's that?
Mr. 9: That's where we live, uh, sir.
Nami: What happened to your own ship?
Miss Wednesday: It's busted.
Nami: Isn't that asking too much, Mr. 9, after trying to kill Laboon?
Zephyr: Who exactly are you guys?
Mr. 9: I'm a king.
Zephyr punched him in the head.
Zephyr: liar!
Miss Wednesday: We can't say!
Mr. 9: But we want to go back to the town. We don't want to be secretive, either, but....
Miss Wednesday: The motto of our company is "mystery" after all.
Mr. 9: We just can't tell you anything about us.
Miss Wednesday: Placing our confidence in your character, we're begging you.
Mr. 9: We will definitely return the favor.
Crocus: Don't do it. No matter what they say, they're dishonest people.
Nami: By the way, we don't have a Log Pose because we broke it. Do you still wanna ride with us?
Mr. 9: What?! You broke it?! That's mine, you know!
Miss Wednesday: How dare you act stuck up just because we're being humble?! You guys can't go anywhere either!
Zephyr and Nami looked at each other, and for some reason seemed to have the same exact thought.
Nami: *Overly dramatic* Oh, you're right! The Log Pose is broken! What ever shall we do?! Zephyr, what can we do?!
Zephyr: Fear not, dear Nami, for we actually have the Log Pose that Crocus gave us.
Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9, quickly regretted their actions snd bowed once more.
Mr. 9: We beg you people of such character.
Zephyr and Nami high fived, while Nami stuck out her tongue playfully.
Zephyr/Luffy: You can ride with us./I agree.
Miss Wednesday/Mr. 9: What?!
Luffy: Did you say Whisky Peak? Let's go there.
Usopp: Hey, are you serious? We're troubling ourselves to take these shady people.
Luffy: What's the problem? Don't worry about small things.
Zephyr: I have a gut feeling that we should help them... And my gut never been wrong about people before!
Crocus: But you can only choose the route here, the starting point.
Zephyr: If we don't like it, then we can go around one more time, it's an adventure!
Crocus: I see....You haven't changed much Rory, still as eager as ever.
Luffy: Exactly. Now, shall we get going? Now that I'm full, let's get ready to sail.
Zephyr: We might as well, no use staying here any longer.
Miss Wednesday: Who on earth are you?
Luffy: Me? I'm the man who's going to become the King of the Pirates
Zephyr: And I'm the one who Will Be The Strongest.
Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9 looked at each other, before secretly laughing.
Miss Wednesday: What a stupid group-
Zephyr looked at them and slowly smile, then walk away silently, almost too silent....
Everyone got ready and headed towards the ship.
Crocus: It should be okay by now. The Log must've been stored, is it pointing at the same direction as the map?
Nami: Yep, it's pointing at Whisky Peak.
Luffy: See ya, flower pops! Thanks for the Log Pose!
Crocus: Yeah. Have a safe trip!
Luffy: See ya, whale! I'm leaving now! To Whisky Peak full speed ahead!!
Straw Hats: Yeah!!!
The Going Merry started moving
forwards, leaving behind Laboon
and Crocus.
Zephyr: Bye, Laboon! We'll see each other again in the future! For our rematch!
With Crocus
Crocus: I wonder if they're the pirates that we've been waiting for all this time. That man has such an uncanny air about him. Don't you think so, Roger? And Rory seems to have finally grown up.
With Zephyr and the others.
Zephyr: *Sneezed*
Nami: Are you okay Zephyr?
Zephyr: Yeah I'm fine, just felt like someone called me short.
Nami: Why would anyone call you short?
Zephyr: Reasons.
