A month of hardships

To begin their training Reveria brought her disciples to a jungle. "Survival skills are first and foremost, so we shall hone those quickly." 

"Is this not a bit too sudden master? We didn't even change our clothes. We have no idea about surviving without anything..." Laia said. Avon added "I feel the same way too.."

"You never know when what might happen. This is how your training will be. This indeed is sudden but this is for your benefit. I will be with you during your training at all times so do not worry. I will teach everything. I know you do not have complete trust in me and the only way to deepen our bonds is to spend more time together."

Avon and Laia had no choice but to agree.

"your lives will be very different from now on. I will tell you everything about the other worlds and the rules and laws of universes and much more after this one month of physical training is done. Got it?"

"yes" they answered in unison

'So this month is only for physical training.....there will be more after that' they thought in unison too.

"Avon, I have a pill that will immediately melt the fat on your body, do you want to consume it now or melt the fat naturally?" Reveria asked Avon.

"I will reduce it on my own." Avon answered without hesitation. He always believed that there were no shortcuts and hardwork is the only way to achieve one's goals. The fact that he is still overweight or doesn't get satisfactory grades meant that he was lacking in effort or technique. Avon would never resort to such methods. He looked down on such shorcuts.

'This fat has accumulated because I couldn't control myself. I will reduce it on my own.'

Seeing no hesitation in Avon's answer Reveria smiled slightly and said "Good..... Okay, so I will start teaching you about hunting, gathering, camping and so on."

So their training began. The first day was very difficult since it was almost impossible to sleep. The second day they went deeper into the jungle and it seemed that animals did not undergo the selection process, all animals survived. It was very difficult for Avon and Laia to adapt but Reveria's training helped adapt rather quickly.

Before, they couldn't fall asleep because of the discomfort, but from the second day itself they fell asleep rather quickly due to exhaustion. Avon and Laia barely got any time to interact as the training was too intense and very tiring. 

Reveria would throw impossible tasks at them out of the blue every now and then

"Both of you, stay under that waterfall for an hour no matter what. Immediately!"

"Both of you, cut down 100 trees in the next 2 hours or starve for next 2 days!"

and so on...This intense training was very beneficial for them as their growth rate was phenomenal. 

Avon had lost all his fat and had grown a lot of muscle in just two weeks. Reveria's training was highly efficient and her disciples were the proof of it. Both Laia and Avon were now highly fit, had high stamina, capable of hunting animals, capable of understanding the nature around them.

"Avon and Laia come here" Reveria called her disciples who were catching fishes barehanded from a stream of river water. They immediately went to where Reveria was. Avon's clothes were torn at many places. His t-shirt was partially wet and head many tears while his pants were rolled up his legs. His pants were partially wet till his knees and had many tears too. His hair had grown and now kept falling over his forehead and eyes sometimes obstructing his view. He had a bit of facial hair too, giving him a mature look. Laia, who was in formal office wear before the start of training now looked very different. Her shirt was tucked out and had many tears here and there. Her clothes were pretty much in a similar position to Avon's. 

Being around two beauties helped Avon strengthen his mind too. Afterall he was alone most of the time and had few friends, none were women. He barely had any interactions with women too. He was a shy and an introverted person, making it difficult for him to have conversations with every person. He was only comfortable around his friends. Hence, he had found peace in music and spent a lot of his time either playing the guitar or studying what he liked or reading novels. He missed his guitar but reminded himself about how only 2 weeks more were left.

He and Laia had now become somewhat closer. "We will go to the north pole tomorrow. Try to survive the cold." said Reveria.

Avon and Laia had gotten used to the unpredictable, out of the blue orders from Reveria. Many times she would not even tell them in advance. These practices had helped them develop so much in such little time.

"Okay master" Avon and Laia answered in unison. They got back to fish hunting. "We are lucky, master told us one entire day in advance." Laia said to Avon in a joking manner. "Of course we are, imagine how difficult it would be if were to directly enter the pole....now we have an entire day to prepare ourselves, mentally of course! for the torture ahead. Frostbite! Here I come!" Avon replied sarcastically too. Laia laughed a bit. " So Avon, how many did you catch?" Laia asked "let me count, hmm 11, what about you Ms.Laia" ."12" answered Laia. Yes, Avon referred to Laia as Ms.Laia because he didn't know what would be right. Though they had spent 2 weeks together, they didn't really have many interactions. Most of their interactions were with Reveria involved. 

"I think it's enough right" Avon said " yes, let's stop now" Laia agreed and then they went on with the day knowing the torture they have face the next day.
