Phase 2 Training begins!

It was a beautiful morning. Avon came out of his tent to see Laia seated outside and in deep thought. 

"Good morning" he greeted her and she replied "Good morning Avon"

The she continued "Master said she will return in while and then take us to meet our parents."

"oh, nice. I'll shave my beard and cut my hair before going though. My mom hated my beard. Says I look like a bear"

Laia a bit and said "You do look older than you are in a beard"

Then Avon who started removing his beard with his self made blade. He cut his hair a bit too and washed his face. Then he went back to Laia and sat down.

Laia looked at Avon's face and her heart skipped a beat. She had seen him without a beard before too, at the start, but at that time she was in a very chaotic mindset and he was kind of obese too, but now...he had a muscular well toned body and his height seemed perfect for his features too. His looked very handsome with a clean look. 

'He looks so handsome! He probably doesn't know that but now that he is so fit he will be very popular. He is a hardworking kid. In a month with master's help he changed himself so drastically. No matter how much master instructed, to have the will to follow her words, to overcome his limits, it is all there in his personality. He is polite too.....Hah...My parents used to pester me about marrying someone...If Avon was a bit older....maybe 25 or 26...Huh? What am I thinking? Do I perhaps....No way! But....'

Laia who was in deep thought then asked Avon something which he didn't expect from her "Do you have a girlfriend?"

'Isn't it obvious I don't' he thought to himself.

"I don't" he replied calmly. "I see, did you have any in the past?" 

'Why is she asking all of this?'

"No."

"Did you have a crush? were you rejected or did you reject anyone...Who was your first love?"

"Don't ask me all that.....I don't understand romance well....I have never felt romantic love for any woman until now...don't get me wrong, I am straight but it's just that I don't really like any woman around me much, not just women actually, men too, like everybody. I mean, the love, the care that I have for my family, for my things...I haven't felt that for anyone else yet..."

'That's....just like me! Avon is so similar to me!' thought Laia.

"You know, I understand you very well. I'm the same too. I couldn't have put it in words as well you though. My parents from a few yeah have been pestering me for marrying someone..."

"Will they do it even now? I mean the world literally changed"

"Don't know, but probability is high" Laia said.

"hmmmm.....can't do anything about that" Avon thought loudly.

As they both were thinking about it Reveria returned and looked at Avon and said "Look at your, Mr. Handsome!" She teased him. Avon blushed and gave a weak laugh. Reveria at times made light jokes so that it was not all serious and gloomy while training. Avon didn't know how to respond. "Well shall we go meet your families?" Reveria said and both her disciples nodded in excitement. 

Soon a portal opened and they entered through the portal. They first arrived at Laia's house. "Laia you meet your parents while I drop Avon at his house." Then Laia left and Avon and Reveria enetred another portal to reach Avon's house. Reveria said "I will come back later to talk with your parents. You go ahead" and left. Avon immediately went to his house and met his parents. They were very happy to meet him as they expected him to return by ow because a month was done. They were surprised by his transition. He looked like a celebrity right now. His parents knew that this wouldn't have happened without lot of hardwork and praised him and pampered him a lot. Avon then went to check over his guitar. It seemed fine so he pugged in the amplifier and started playing the guitar. Lost in nostalgia he lost the track of time of how long he played for. A month of such rigorous training felt like eternity to him, so being back to his beloved instrument gave Avon the peace he wanted.

After he was satisfied, he came out of his room to talk to his parents again but he was surprised to see Reveria sitting on the couch. "You play music very well Avon. I am impressed. I came here to just talk with your parents about your future." 

" We thank you for taking care of child miss Reveria" said Avon's mother

"please, he is my disciple too. It is my responsibility and duty" Reveria respectfully responded and then got up. "Well, we must continue our training. This will be another month, but different kind of training. Things will be very different after this month. I will teach about various interesting things after this second phase is done. Come, let us go"

"yes master" Avon had no option to refute and it seemed his parents already knew about this. He wished farewell to his parents saying he will see them in a month and entered the portal Reveria opened. They picked up Laia and went back to the jungle. 

"Now I will teach you how to access mana. To use it is very difficult for you currently so that will have to wait. Since now you both have the necessary physical capacities we can move onto mental training"

"understood master!"
