Capone glanced at Mandy, who nodded in understanding and adjusted Tiana's shoulder. "Tomorrow afternoon, the boss will be heading back to the port. He just wants to spend a bit more time with them. Don't worry, Laura is drunk, but she's still here. He won't do anything to her, I promise you!"
At this moment, Sophia shifted uncomfortably, gagging slightly. Tiana saw how miserable she looked, and realizing that going back in the car now would only make things worse, she stopped insisting.
"I'll come to pick her up in the morning. Take good care of her!"
Capone nodded.
Mandy picked up Jimmy and left with Tiana, leaving Capone and Sophia alone in the room.
Sophia rested in his arms, and both of them had heavy breaths.
"My heart is racing..." She murmured dreamily, unable to tell whether it was his heartbeat or her own. All she could feel was the steady, rapid pounding, as if it was going to burst out of his chest.
