Chapter 173- ridiculous

He called her name too. During the ten days they were apart, every day felt like a year. He kept his phone close at all times, afraid he might miss her call. 

But she never called. Not even a single text. 

He wanted to call her, even if it was just to hear her voice, even if Laura called him "Uncle" over the phone. He just wanted to hear her. 

Yet he never pressed the call button. He didn't know what to say to her, afraid of the silence that might hang between them. Even more, he feared that pushing too hard would scare her away. 

Now, he could finally see her again, but she was walking alongside another man, saying she wanted to marry someone else. 

He was both angry and heartbroken. Apart from kissing her, he wished he could meld into her body once more, to make her see who her real man was. 

Sophia snapped out of the haze of their passionate kiss. The warmth of his hand on her lower back lingered, making her feel uneasy.
