Capone rested on her soft, white back, propping himself up on his arms to avoid putting any weight on her. After a long pause, he finally spoke, "Should I carry you to the shower?"
Sophia didn't respond.
"I'm sorry!" he said softly, but the words still left his lips.
In the past, he had been forceful and rarely apologized to her.
Feeling the slight tremble in the woman beneath him, her nose sniffing in and out, he quickly pulled her back into his embrace. "Don't cry, don't cry. It's my fault!"
His comforting words only made things worse. Sophia couldn't stop crying, her tears soaking the pillow, and Capone felt helpless.
"Sophy..."
"Get lost! You only bully me... I never want to see you again, just go!"
Her heartbroken appearance pained his heart, but what made it worse was the sound of a key turning in the door outside.
It was Tiana. She was the only one who had a spare key to this place.
